I originally selected Cypress Family Eyecare out of convenience...Eye exam and Grocery shop in one outing. Since moving over 80 miles away I return to Dr. Oevermann and his staff because they are a highly professional team with great customer service! I have recommended them to all my family and friends.

I’ve been coming to Doctor Overmann since his office was located by the Kroger off of 529 & Barker Cypress. He’s been fantastic and anytime I ever have a change in vision he’s always been the most helpful eye doctor. Always recommend my friends and family come to him. Hope he sticks around in the area for a long time truly enjoy having him as my eye doctor!

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable! I was seen within minutes after taking a seat! This was surprising because I had scheduled the appointment that same day( someone else had cancelled). Overall I am very satisfied with my visit and Cypress Family Eyecare will remain my preferred eye doctor for the foreseeable future. Thank you guys!

Our family has been going to Dr. Oevermann for more than 5 years, and we never had any bad experience. He is very professional and courteous yet he is able to build good rapport with my kids. Both of my kids are teenagers now and they still love coming for annual checkups. We believe that Dr. Oevermann is not only a great doctor but also a wonderful family man and person. What a great role model!!! His staffs are also very helpful and kind...;-))

My husband, who hates doctor's offices of any kind, visited Dr. Oeverman to get new contacts. He loved it, so I booked an appointment too. Everyone in the office was friendly, funny, and helpful. Dr. Oeverman was the first doc to ever actually explain a weird formation in my eye that I've had since birth, so that was illuminating. I was in and out with no waiting, but I wasn't rushed through the process, and all my questions were answered. I am so happy we found this place! Even though I had to finally get bifocals.

6 yr old son took him to get checked out. Doctor proceeded to perform the eye test where you switch lenses a ton of times. Wondered why we can’t just do the old school stand here look at the wall exam that the school nurse said he failed. Apparently a professional Doctor had no clue how to do that one. Walked out still not knowing if my son needed glasses or not. On top of that, for such a puny guy he acted like a jerk throughout the exam.

Fantastic service!! I came in and within an hour I had a new perscription and a great pair of designer glasses. Everyone is super friendly and they do it all very quickly and efficiently. There's honestly not a better eyecare facility in Cypress, so don't waste your time somewhere that doesn't carry the best brands and the best service

Dr. Oevermann is a great eye doctor, so much so that I just went back to visit him for an eye exam after being away for 10 years. Before that he was my eye doctor for years but I moved away. Now that I'm back in the area I'll also be sending my husband to see him later this week. His staff is great and accommodating with scheduling and everyone is super friendly. If you need a good family eye doctor, this is the place to go!

This has to be the best experience I ever had out of all the eye places I ever been to from the front desk service all the way to check out. it's extremely awesome to see how much passion this team has you can tell they sincerely care for you and love what they do! . Idk what else to say except please go to this location you will not be disappointed!

This review is strictly for the receptionist L, who unfortunately impacted my decision to even schedule an appointment. I called to make an appointment and inquire about pricing, as any new patient would do. She did not know the pricing information, then had to place me on hold a few times to ask someone else. This was all fine, except she first gave me one price then another additional price. It sounded like she was confused, but ironically got irritable on the phone when I asked for her to explain the different pricing she provided. First of all, this is your job lady. I am a firm believer in the saying, "whatever you do, be the best one." I understand if you're new or need to ask someone, but the audacity to have attitude with me when your job is customer service?! In a very condescending tone, she asked if I understood what she was saying. It was obvious she was the one who doesn't even know her job. When I confronted her about the tone she took with me when simply asking for information, her tone suddenly changed to normal while she denied it. I am disappointed I did not schedule with this optometrist after all the rave reviews I have seen on him, as a direct result of the horrible customer service experience I received just over the phone. I was hoping to find a new eye doctor after mine of 25 years passed away.

I needed an eye exam after having some trouble with the DPS vision test. The staff was very friendly and got me in to see the doctor that day. Dr. Oevermann completed my exam and discussed the results with me in great detail. He is easy going and did not try to push or sale me anything that I did not need. I had a great experience and will return.

This was my first visit to Dr. Oevermann. It was really nice to see a doctor who is funny and professional, even at the end of the day. Qualities that are hard to find these days. He answered all of my questions and I never felt rushed. I even learned some fun facts. His staff is also very nice and helpful. Highly recommend him for your next eye exam.

I've been to this eye doctor for a number of years. I went in wanting to try contacts again. Last time I tried was 8 years ago. I did not realize the lens I was trying to wear were that old. He gave me some new lenses to try after the exam and I could see without adding reading glasses. I could not believe it. I'm wearing them right now and typing on my computer at work without reading glasses. And everyone is saying how pretty my eyes are!!! I was convinced also that I needed color torics since I would have to hide my eyes behind reading glasses for most of the day if I tried to wear contacts. Now I think I'll just go with what he gave me and occasionally have to pop on a pair of readers for really small print. So happy. I will say that the wait was awful. My appointment was for 3:00. I didn't get in to see the Dr. until a little after 4:00. He did mention that he let an employee off to run a marathon or something, so perhaps that was what caused the backlog of patients.

I don't know why I waited so long to go there. Truly the best experience I have ever had at a eye doctor. People don't like going to the dentist I never liked going to the eye doctor even as a child because I always felt sick afterwards and they didn't listen to me. Dr James listened and looked at my records and the tests. He took the time and actually showed me the images of my eyes and explained why I have the problems I do. Thank You for a great experience.

Everyone working here is very professional and nice! The office is spacious and clean. The doctors here are amazing as well.
