My sister recommended this place to me. Great place for an eye exam. Dr. Jeffery Shiau makes you feel very comfortable. He always makes sure I have a complete understanding of my eye condition. He is very polite and you can tell he really cares about his patients. The staff here is very professional and nice!! Love this place and love the Oasis Tears I got from them also. Keeps my eyes nice and fresh all day!! No more redness!!! Great experience over all.

Was recommended by a friend I have always been happy where I got my glasses but this time the coating on the lens started peeling so I decided to give this place a try. From the moment I stepped in they were very professional and where able to get my prescription off the glasses I was wearing without having the physical prescription or the doctor doing an exam. They had a variety of different frames and the lens were top of the line.

Horrible bedside manner. I am a nurse and immediately catch on to things like that. The rudest eye doctor I have ever met. Inpatient and condescending especially to children. Choose another OD.

Great friendly Doctor, But staff vibe was not inviting or welcoming! Felt like I was at DMV!!

I love Dr.shiau but one of his employees always gives me attitude. I don’t have eye insurance and I'm paying out of pocket. I always pay cash. she asked why I don’t have insurance. I don’t think I should have to explain that at all. Intrusive question.

So I finally decided to get my first eye exam and make use of my work insurance! I needed glasses as expected for my farsightedness. Luckily I had good help in choosing my glasses. The girl that was helping me was throwing some terms I never heard before. I never used glasses so I didn't know what varifocal, night vision and all that meant. I asked about one type and she probably noticed I was a noob. She smiled and explained the rest to me. Although I already forgot what she said, at the moment she was explaining I felt like a seasoned pro!! aha When my glasses were ready for pick up I was happy with the fit. Really glad I have no complaints with my first pair!

Dr. Jeffery Shiau is a great person and very helpful but some of the staff seems like they dont care at all ... i had a bad experience ...

Great staff and great Doctor. The doctor took care of me and asked what I was looking for as far as glasses. Because I am at a computer all day, I strain my eyes all day. He helped find the lens that I needed to so I can have the best eyesight possible for work and daily activities. The staff was wonderful. They helped pick my frames.

The doctor is great! He takes his time and explains to you everything he's doing. But he needs a whole different staff. When I got my glasses I wasn't informed of how the coating I got was going to have such a blue/purple tint. I returned them to be sent back and when I received them back in a week, the coating was never changed. So again I took them back. This time I was told a rush was being done but now it's been over a week and still nothing. At this point I don't even want my glasses.

Dr. Shiau is great, the office itself is only OK in terms of staff. Also was pushed somewhat hard to actually get glasses there.

Dr. Jeffrey Shiau is an outstanding optometrist with a high level of knowledge, judgment and experience. He exudes confidence, efficiency and competence. The well-staffed office is extremely organized and very detail-oriented. The facility is very modern and clean, with all the latest equipment. I highly recommend Dr. Shiau, located in the heart of downtown Alhambra!

I had a really good experience. I felt that dr Jeffrey really cares about his patients he took his time and made sure I got the correct prescription for my blindness lol. I could not be happier I love my glasses and best of all I can see 😉. After my appointment I got my new glasses right away less than a week. Every one is very nice and friendly, I really liked that they take took the time to explain to me all the options and help me get the best glasses that would fit me. I will definitely be going back for my next year check up.

Very great experience with all staff present. A place which comforts and explains to have customers knowledgeable. Low rating doesn't reflect the location until you go in person. Don't hesitate because you'll regret not coming to a great staff wanting to help others.

I totally agree with the other customers. The optometrist was efficient and professional. The front staff, especially the girl helping with glass selections, had an attitude. She could care less if you were there or not. Her demeanor was off putting, enough for me to take my business elsewhere. Trust me, you do not want to deal with someone who behaved as though she was a queen bestowing her favors on you. If they got rid of Jazmin and Eric the assistant, they would get a 5. Your front staff represents you...a very important factor.

I have been to many optometrist before but when I first came into this office it was a complete different experience! My eye and contact exam was great I knew exactly what my prescription was and I tried anti glare coating for the first time with the frame I choose and it’s great you can tell on the quality when you first put on your glasses! Front desk is great as well they help you with choosing your frame and lenses.

I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY VISION DUE TO SEVER MIGRAINES AND STRESS. I HAVE BEEN TO MANY OPTOMETRISTS AND NONE COULD HELP ME SOLVE MY VISION ISSUES LIKE DR. JEFFERY OPTOMETRIST. MANY DOCTORS DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH PATIENCE TO HELP AFTER SO MANY TESTS. I AM SO SO THANKFUL FOR DR. JEFFERY AND HIS AWESOME TEAM. FROM THE MOMENT I ARRIVED EVERYONE TREATED ME VERY NICE AND PROFESSIONAL. A SWEET LADY BY THE NAME OF JENNIFER HELPED ME LOOK FOR NICE GLASSES THAT FIT MY FACE STRUCTURE. I REMEMBERED HER NAME BECAUSE ITS MY DAUGHTERS NAME =]. WHEN YOU GO MAKE SURE TO ASK FOR HER" SHE IS THEE BEST".DR. Good service but bad they won't warranty their glasses unless you buy the insurance. Had my glasses less than a year and frame started coming apart. Pretty ridiculous they don't warranty the products they sell. I would stay away. There are too many other places that warranty a product they sell.

Took my son to get his eyes checked. Turned out he needed glasses. The Dr. and staff were very friendly and patient with us. (My son is 5 and very wiggly. 😁) …

I had a terrible experience. First of all they said they take medi medi when I arrived there the front lady was super rude towards me and my mom. She acted like they were doing us a favor and we talked to her in Spanish since she, the lady at the front, was of Hispanic descendant. She acted like we were inferior just by communicating in Spanish although I could speak English well. She didn't offer us any deal on frames and wanted to charge more than 900 dollars for the lens and frames. Even thought I don't think they cost that much. It's not Beverly Hills there. I felt like they didn't want my business there and also was mistreated by the female doctor who they said was only temporarily there. The doctor made fun of my name and also could tell she felt above us in her attitude. If you're on a limited income avoid this place. This was before the pandemic but I never was mistreated like that in my life.

Everyone was polite & nice but the prescription on my glasses was not good . I would see blurry when I put glasses on . I ended up going to a different optometrist . I won’t go back to this place .

First of all I have been coming here for years. Dr. Shiau and his staff are super friendly and make you feel welcomed. I come to them annually to check my eyes and renew my contact prescription. I always get a years worth of contacts, and one of the ladies helps me submit the rebate so that I can get money back. I recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a great one on one experience from when you first arrive.

Dr. Jeffery is a very knowledgable and helpful optometrist. Scheduling an appointment was very easy and the whole eye exam process was great. They'll take good care of you there!

This OD messed up my eye glass prescription and will not fix it. Its not even the right RX. After asking if he would correct it he became very rude and billed my insurance without correcting it. I' am Reporting him asap.
