Very rude! Not helpful

Prompt efficient reception and on-time intake nurse who wrote prescription, did dilation, and took oral health history: tech-savvy, no clipboards with endless pages haha! Technician also prompt and courteous. Doctor was knowledgeable, experienced, with good communication skills, pleasant, but wasted no time. Glad to see HGTV in waiting room, staff masked, and no FOX or dead animals on the walls!

I was here from out of state and experienced an eye situation that took me to an ER. They told me to consult an Optomologist the next day. Her office was very accommodating to fit me into a full schedule. Dr Hensel was very nice and professional. She explained things well and diagnosed the real cause of my situation.

Dr. Hensel has usually been very nice but the last time I was there with my handicapped who had recently had an issue with his eye and needed to get it checked. She hardly looked at him and was very rude. I will continue to use the facility but switch to another doctor.

Hate the ALWAYS.......WAIT.

The wait was a little long. Dr. Hensel was very personable, yet professional. Answered all my questions. Very thorough.

She doesn't look at your chart history. She has terrible manners toward the patient. Doesn't know what she's doing.

I have been to Eye Centers of Southeast Texas SEVERAL times. Each time the wait was at least 45 minutes to an hour. Once called back the staff was friendly but Dr. Hensel only showed up for enough time to look in my eyes, spout off a few big words to her assistant about what she saw, and then she was gone. Every time her solution to my eye troubles was "come back in 4 weeks- in the meantime no contacts and go buy some rewetting drops at Walgreens." This has been going on for about a 9 months now with no change in my eyes or no new solution from Dr. Hensel. After calling to reschedule an appointment and them telling me they will have to call me back to reschedule- they never did. Today I called yet again and was able to speak to a very rude African American woman who told me they are closed on Fridays and when I told her I would have to call her back when I was not driving she hung up on me. I will never be going back.

I have been patient of hers for a long time. Through the years she seems to have lost her good bedside manner. Last time I saw her she was quite rude to me. I will continue to visit this eye center , but with a different ophthalmologist.

No wonder her rating is so poor. The wait time is to begin you appointment is more than 45 minutes.
