I scheduled an appointment on their website. They do not send confirmation emails. I called day of to get a reminder of what time I made my appointment for. When calling the number it popped up as I was dialing "Potential Spam". When the lady answered she was immediately rude. She said she had been trying to call my phone and that the time (selectable on their website) was not available. She was very defensive and spent her time trying to berate me for not answering the phone. It was one of those moments where I just had to say "Okay, thank you" and hang up. I will find someone else.

De Jansen has always been able to see me quickly. He diagnosed a retinal tear and other retinal issues. I recommend him highly.

Got an eye exam with Dr. Joel Jansen, ordered glasses online and couldnt see right so I went them back, waited for the money to go back to my flextra account and insurance, ordered another pair from a different place and same thing. Sent them back and had to wait all over again. Went to Lesncrafters who showed me my exam results are different than everyone I have had for years previously. Scheduled a re-exam online with Dr. Jansen, showed up, and told the lady at the front counter and he reply was "you aren't on my schedule, you sure you did it right?" uggg. Yes I know how to use a website. "But you got your exam in January". OK so what? I have had to sit and wait for months to go through this process finding out the exam was rushed and incorrect. She also said he wasn't there so I had to reschedule for another day. I told her if I walked out I was not coming back and she just stared at me with a blank face. Welp, SEEYA. I guess I will have to get a NEW test from someone that isn't cramming a dozen exams in before lunch. Wont be going back again,.

I saw Dr. Nguyen at this clinic last week and she was fantastic. Everyone, including the support staff, was so friendly. It was a quick appointment just to get a new Rx for contacts, but Dr. Nguyen was very attentive and made me feel heard. The location inside Costco is also convenient. I’ve already recommended Jansen Eyecare to my partner.

I have recommended Dr. Jansen to MULTIPLE people, and they all come back to me beyond grateful for sending them to him. He is DELIGHTFUL. Caring, thoughtful, efficient and even low key funny. While I don't want the secret to get out, I want others to know how happy I am that I stumbled into the Costco optometry center 7 years ago and why I keep going back.

The woman at the front desk hasn’t learned manners yet so beware

Dr. Jansen is a great optometrist. He’s efficient and friendly, making eye exams much less painful. I found him trustworthy because he was honest enough to tell me I didn’t need contacts (which he would’ve had a larger reimbursement for). Easiest and best eye exam to date! Go check them out.

Dr nguyen and her team are amazing! I was in and out in 20 minutes. I got a great prescription and received some great complimentary goodies.

Great experience, straightforward appointment. My partner and I have both gone to Joel and the doctor gave him a very generous supply of sample contacts when he told Joel that he’s a local musician without eye insurance. He was so appreciative!

First, he tried to get me to wear dailies when I told him I wanted to stick with my monthlies I was very happy with. Now when I try and get a prescription filled from Costco they reject me because he specified a brand on my written prescription that I don’t want to use and told him I didn’t want. Second, when I got home and put my lenses back into my eyes (I took the lenses out for the exam) they burned like hell because there was clearly something polluted with the lens case he gave me or the solution he had. It made my eyes sting for several hours. Nightmare. Go to a real doctor not in a Costco — which pains me to say because I love Costco.
