I was recommended here by our pediatrician for my two-year-old. I arrived early for our appointment and waited an hour before we saw Dr Englert. She walked in without knocking, without greeting us, and called my daughter by the wrong name. She didn’t take much time discussing my concerns or learning about the situation. During the exam, she kept clicking her tongue like you would if you were trying to get a dog’s attention rather than calling her by name or trying to be funny. We then had to have her eyes dilated and checked and waited another 45 minutes (in a room that was definitely not child-friendly) before we were seen again and she said everything was fine, come back if we noticed changes, and left. We went to the check out desk and neither of the girls at the desk made eye contact or greeted us. One of the girls typed a few things in the computer and said we were done. Two hours later and we were finally out of there. I would never return here or recommend this office.

This “healthcare professional” needs to educate herself on how to communicate with not only Pediatric patients and their Parents, but also Down Syndrome patients that come into be seen. Her way of interacting with her patients and their families is unprofessional and disgusting to say the least. Do not recommend for anyone needing to their children to be seen by a Pediatric Ophthalmologist.
