70 years old and I’ve definitely seen my share of medical facilities. Was I nervous? Yes! After all these were my only set of eyes! From the moment I entered the Utah Eye Institute I felt comfortable. The front registration desk was pleasant and courteous. Nicole put me through a series of tests and was super. I asked a lot of questions and she answered them all. I cannot praise Dr. Bretz enough. She was fantastic! Her professionalism was immeasurable as was her ability to make me feel like I’d known her for years and not just met her! All the staff should be recognized as they were all wonderful! Even Tatiana, the anesthesiologist, made me feel like the only patient in the operating room! As is apparent, I can’t praise them enough and highly recommend them to anyone needing cataracts surgery! My eyes? It’s been one week and I can see again! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! (as a side note - the flowers in the front of the building are gorgeous!)

I have been here twice and both times I received a thorough assessment, and explanations of my testing and the health of my eyes. My time was respected, and all of the staff I interacted with were friendly and professional. Additionally, I referred to family member here after an eye injury was treated casually at the emergency room. They were able to see him the same day and give him a much more careful. assessment and plan. Highly recommend!

Staff was great! Assistant was totally awesome! Dr Bretz was very rushed, didn't address my eye issues regarding current discomfort and concerns. She spent 5 min or less with me. I sure hope she is more thorough with my surgery.
