I have been Dr. Nandakumar's patient for many years. I am very nearsighted. Although I knew I had risk of retinal tear/detachment, I never seriously thought it would happen. Then one day, I had classic retinal detachment symptoms. Dr. Nandakumar saw me that day and lasered my retinal tear back. I can not even imagine what would happen to my eye if she did not see me that day. Months later, she caught the other eye also had retinal tear and she fixed it too.
