I highly recommend Dr. Newman. I have never had anyone be so detailed and precise with an eye exam. She took her time to explain every aspect of the process and more! During the annual eye exam she discovered something no other optometrist has before and because of her my eyes are going to get the treatment they need! She genuinely cares about helping people and because of that I she has found a loyal customer.

Dr Newman is knowledgeable and friendly. She dedicated ample time to answer all of my questions and explain what each single instrument was measuring and the results. I learned a lot from her about my eyes and how to take care of them. Thank to her my eyes are receiving the treatment needed! Her staff is polite, responsive and really dedicated to their job. I mostly see decent eye doctors who are friendly, nice and competent. I checked to see who was in the vicinity of me plus within my eye plan and Dr. Newman's office was my first choice to check out. SO GRATEFUL that I did schedule my annual eye exam here for both eyeglasses and contacts. Dr. Newman's local practice as a Developmental Optometrist is no joke. I learned so much about my eyes' motor function and my vision through her knowledge and research. Dr. Newman is also so wonderful at explaining everything to me without talking down to me. You can tell she works with all age groups and her "bedside manner" as an eye doctor is welcoming and supportive. I am nearsighted with astigmatism and have issues with my motor function which I am learning to correct by the exercises prescribed by Dr. Newman. I've learned that these exercise are helpful after I brush my teeth (I use my toothbrush as the wand to stare at and follow) in the morning and at night. Dr. Newman and her staff are so generous with their time and careful to explain and answer any questions you might have during your visit. I probably tried on almost every pair of frames they have but went with Dr. Newman's choice for me (probably the 2nd pair I tried on) because she knew what I needed for my progressive lens. Eye health is important and serious! I've been excited every time I visit to see what I learn next about my eyes. My contacts and the Rx have been great, too. With my eyeglasses, I've found that I strain less and that reading a book or onscreen is much more relaxed for me– I just had my eyes checked a year before so I didn't expect that my Rx would change and it's changed for the better now that I know what I should be looking for. Go see Dr. Newman if you think anything is going on with your eyesight– things I've ignored as a kid and now well into my adult life can be worked on and improved. I had no idea and to be Dr. Newman's patient is a blessing. Please go see her and invest in your eye health and eye care!
