My family has been cared with this office for many years. Started with Dr. Simms and once he retired we have been cared by Dr. Chuiu. My husband told me of his recent experience and Im sad to say not surprised. The front line of an office anywhere is the first impression . Myself as a medical professional my patients are treated with respect and cared as I would care for my family and they are priority If you cant treat a human with dignity and respect you are not in the right profession. I will be requesting my records to seek care elsewhere. Dr. Chuiu you need to get a professional manager in your office that will make some much needed improvement and you may be able to keep some of your patients. You are a very kind Doctor and sorry that i will be seeking care elsewhere.

You are only as good as your front office staff. They have not allowed office visits for years due to Covid (long after everyone else opened up). Nancy, the contact lens “guru” would not do lenses going on 3 years, yet the receptionist says “not at the moment.” 3 years in not a moment. When you ask if there is anyone who can tell you when they’ll be doing lenses again, you get told to go to BJs and then you get transferred to a VM that does not work, and then they literally STOP ANSWERING the phone when you call back. The phone rings and rings and says “goodbye.” I will be sure to send this to the doctor as well. They are losing 8 patients in my immediate family alone. Too bad. Good job, secretary. Sorry, docs.

Dr Chiu is a very nice Doctor, but I might not reutrn due to one of his front desk receptionists who tried to charge me $100.00 copay as I left the office without even looking at my chart or being aware of my insurance plan benefits. She then proceeded to give me a lecture about how my copay is due at time of service when I asked her to bill me since I wasn't carrying any money, she came off as very rude.
