If you're into snarky, 1980's-level-cliche sitcom office staff, this is the place for you!
I have been to an Ophthalmologist's office exactly zero times before this, and the level of annoyance
on behalf of the office staff for not knowing the ins and outs was
honestly very rude.
I was trying to help my mom with this appointment since she can't speak for herself after a sizeable stroke, but the staff acted like I was there to ruin their day.
I even heard them whisper-complain to eachother that they tried to call me before the appointment and that it kept
going to voicemail. Like I was avoiding them or something and they were a scorned girlfriend. They never left a message.
I have a job and can't always answer my phone. That is what voicemail is for and I don't understand why they
would ever assume that I was avoiding them. Very strange.
I now know understand why some people choose to let their health fall by the wayside. They are probably suffering
from PTSD induced by dealing with this type of medical staff.
Management would do well to require Compassion training, as
I really was blind-sided by the attitude Daisy and her co-workers took with me.
As someone who works in a customer-facing role, I can't imagine speaking that way to clients and getting away with it. I get
crazy questions all day long but I know not everyone is privy to how my business works so I explain it to them the best way I know how
without raising my voice and without attitude.
Anyway...not my circus, not my monkeys, but just my experience trying to help a sick parent
and unfortunately encountering folks making it tougher along the way.
Adventure With Me

I don't know how anyone can have anything negative to say about Dr. Berg or any member of his staff. For someone who does these procedures routinely (he had 16 surgeries the day I had mine), he surely didn't rush me, gave me proper attention and even found a moment to pop in and say HI before surgery to calm my nerves. I am very happy with the entire process and all the people in his office - Dr. Berg, Dr. Petrossian, Dr. Lee, Kelly, Kathy, and last by not least Stella. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I agree with Laura G. and others who mentioned that they had terrible experience doing LASIK surgery with Dr. Berg.
The biggest regret of my life was doing the LASIK with Dr. Berg. According to the office I was a good candidate for the surgery. Before the surgery I did not have eye pain or migraines. Since the LASIK surgery early in 2009, my life has been miserable because of eye pain, pressure and headaches. They all started couple of days after the surgery. I can not watch TV, work on the computer for more than half an hour. My eyes will begin burning. Walking in a sunny day is a no no. I can not enjoy that anymore. Light, noise gives me headache. Even light at night from car gives me eye pain. My life changed for the worst since then. There has been no solution for this problem yet. One optometrist told me that the LASIK created these issues. Right after the surgery I went to Dr. Berg explaining my symptoms, but I felt that he was not helpful at all and he was not welcoming as he was before the surgery. I felt he basically bushed off that my new eyes' problems had anything to do with the surgery. Some told me to sue, but I refrained from doing so. I hope he enjoyed the thousands of dollars.
I wish I had known about reading reviews at that time. Please be careful with two things in your life: your eyes and your neck. Don't let just anyone touches them and plays with them. It can ruin one's life as it did for me.
