Robert Hoffert, OD is a medical optometrist at St. Luke's Clearwater office. He provides medical optometry and contact lens fitting, working alongside board-certified physicians who offer cataract surgery and the full range of ophthalmic care and surgical procedures.

Dr. Hoffert earned a Doctorate of Optometry and a B.S. in Visual Sciences from Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he received a Presidential scholarship and the H.L. Goldberger Memorial scholarship. He completed internships in medical optometry, visual rehabilitation, and contact lenses, and belongs to the American Optometric Association.

St. Luke's was founded in 1968 by Dr. James P. Gills and serves patients at eight Florida locations.

Dr. Hoffert took the time to get my "slow to focus" eyes the correct prescription. He also spent a good amount of time with me to explain my current eye situation and helped me understand how to prevent future eye issues.
