Dr. Spitzer malpositioned an IOL and failed to notify me of same. He then treated me with a laser, which accomplished nothing except to perhaps cause corneal problems. He both ignored & dismissed the redness of the operative eye and the plethora of floaters. In consult with a retinal specialist following the two procedures, I learned of the malpositioned lens—through which I would never be able to see—plus edema (eye was red from day1 post op). Had to undergo a second surgery that included a vitrectomy and placement of an ACIOL and subsequently experienced a corneal ulcer. Spitzer should have told me following his surgery that he had tightly and heavily sutured the sunsetted IOL in the wrong position (and left uncut sutures dangling). He failed. I’m still undergoing medical treatment seven months later. All because the retinal/vitreous/laser “specialist” failed.

Dr Spitzer was wonderful with my son. He suffered a broken orbital and needed an exam to be sure the vision/eye was not impacted. He was able to reassure us there was nothing to be worried about. We went during COVID and all safe practices were in place. Wonderful experience
