Nice Doctor BUT the support staff is woefully incompetent. Worst experience in health care has been with this office. They got my prescription for my glasses wrong. Been trying to see the doctor to have my glasses redone but keep getting pushed around. Worst just the worst staff.

This is probably the most unprofessional private business I have ever interacted with my partner‘s glasses took over a month. We were told that the reason they were taking so long was because a thinner lens had been ordered. We picked them up and the lens is so thick that you can see them from the side profile. We attempted to go back into the business to bring it to the attention of the staff there today and they locked their doors 30 minutes early and then picked up our phone calls and hung up on us twice. If it was possible to give no stars on this review that is exactly what I would do. I am so disgusted by the lack of customer service we received.

Stopped in this morning with a problem I had, with an old pair of glasses i had bought over a year ago. The glasses weren't exactly fixable but their awesome employee still took the time to come up with a temporary solution for me... It was much appreciated I will deff be back.

My frist visit and I was completely satisfied with the Great Customer Service from the Eye tech team to the amazing Dr Gerber! No wasting time for appt and exam was very informative .the Dr engages the client in all aspects of their treatment plan. That made this eyecare visit feel safe and the beginning of a New Client relationship!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you want high quality service. It's a small office and it can get busy, but the team is really down to earth, helpful, & FUNNY. I hate SPENDING money, shopping makes me anxious, and I'm notorious for calling businesses to complain-making me a VERY DIFFICULT CUSTOMER, yet they all survived and remained patient (and a bit playful) the entire time. Sarah & Jen were super helpful in helping me choose frames and Dr. Gerber calmly answered about 30 minutes of questions regarding lenses. I left VERY SATISFIED with my decision & experience.

Agree with many comments. Doctor is nice which is why I used to return. Front office staff are rude as hell and watch out for when they bring their out of control kids to work. Unfortunately, last time I visited my prescription was off, and while wearing my new glasses I banged up my car. When I went back to question my prescription (should be able to see better, not worse) I was told I would have to buy new glasses as I used my insurance already. This is the opposite of customer service. Please avoid if at all possible

I recently had an appointment here and, while I appreciate the staff fitting me in, my experience wasn’t quite what I expected. I didn’t receive a reminder or text notification—just a call a few hours before my appointment. When I arrived, the waiting area felt a bit uninviting, and since the glass is painted, you have to ring a doorbell to let them know you’ve arrived. During my visit, things felt rushed. I even had to remind them that I was there to pick out new glasses, which was the main reason for my appointment. Even for an eye doctor’s office, the experience felt impersonal—the doctor barely made eye contact while speaking and spent most of the time facing away from me, which made the appointment feel disconnected. Although this is a new location, it still carries the same atmosphere as the old one. The customer service was okay overall, but one staff member seemed to have an attitude, which made things a bit uncomfortable. I understand everyone has off days, but maintaining professionalism makes a big difference in patient care. I hope the office can improve communication and create a more welcoming experience for future patients, but unfortunately, I’ll be looking for a different eye doctor moving forward.

tried to schedule appointment and was told "you were discharged few years ago and can't be scheduled for visit in this office". What I remember from this "few y ago" I was proposed by a doctor to order glasses, like I saw on eyeconic website, but a day after I decided to cancel deal. Price on eyeconic was better. I found a few hooks how to reduce it there. Amazing reason of discharge - customer changed mind on buying something next day after order. It was a branded glasses priced ~400$. I even remember insurance was held electronically by this clinic a while, so I was unable to use it on eyeconic portal. What else I remember - annual check up was covered in full by my insurance. If we don't want to make a business with returning customer - good luck with 1 start from me. I will go to another clinic.

Absolutely love Dr. Gerber ❤️ He is the best doctor and actually cares about his patients. He is very personable and doesn’t treat you like a number.

Dr. Gerber is a wonderful doctor. My whole family goes there. I love the service and he’s always helpful with helping us get glasses and doing our exams. Some of the staff is rude, but the females are wonderful.

This was my second visit and this time I brought my daughter. The new office is very nice! Dr. Gerber is very knowledgeable and this helps because he breaks things down in a way that makes sense. He was kind to my daughter and took the time to educate her even explaining additional info. He taught me a lot in my short visit that will support how I use my glasses and more importantly his office team is consistent. Each member is professional and patient!

Truly a place where you feel comfortable, the staff is welcoming and Dr. Gerber is pleasant and knowledgable. My children, grandchildren and I all go there and I recently referred my mom. I would recommend!

I have been diagnosed with an eye condition when i was 2 years old. I’ve been to many eye different eye doctors through my many years. I have to say that this was the best experience I’ve ever had during an eye exam. Dr. Gerber was very through and explained everything to me in a very thoughtful way. I haven’t felt this cared for with my eyes since i was a kid. They also have a very expansive collection of eye glasses for every budget. The turn around is quick Overall such an incredible experience. I highly recommend Dr. Gerber Eye Care!

I was put on statins a few years ago. Dr Gerber looked into my eyes and asked "Why are you on statins? You are not diabetic." Like anyone I went home, goggled statins to see nasty side effects. Of course I stopped taking them. Years later my primary asked me about heart surgery. I said "What?" So in order to clear up what was a lie on my medical record, I had to have an echocardiogram. Bottom line. I am grateful to have stopped taking statins and wonder who keeps an eye on medical fraud? Question? Is it safe to even ask?

I have been using Dr. Gerber forever. My whole family now uses him. He is warm and open and takes his time with his clients. One of the best eye doctors ever.

I have been going to Dr. Gerber's vision care even before the practice moved to Bloomfield. From Dr. Gerber to the front office, I have always been treated very professionally and wait times have always been very reasonable - the majority of the times I am taken right away. Every time I have my eyes checked there, I leave a happy customer. A++

Dr. Gerber is very kind, helpful MD and Army Veteran. His dedication to his community, country and medical training extends into his optometry practice. He took the time to understand my vision needs, and answered all my questions with patience. His practice combines professional expertise with a warm, caring environment, making every visit not just about eye care but about feeling valued. Highly recommend for anyone in need of an optometrist who genuinely cares about their patients. I loved that he had state of the art equipment and he was able to make lenses for my frames on sight. I used to have to get lenses shipped out and wait almost a month to get my prescription filled. Dr. Steve hooked me up by putting progressive lenses in my Tom Ford eyeglasses. I have 2020 distant vision but I need reading glasses and it’s so nice to wear these all day. It’s exactly what I wanted.

As a Quality professional, my standards and opinions are on the hardcore side. After my visit here on 12/3, I would say they are a great group with very good service. Give them a try.
