Very rude personal that takes your personal information and refuses to get rid of it even after the services won't be performed. Reply yes she was. Plus there was no need for her to have waited for me to provide all the information up front ask for social to them let me know. She was going to charge upfront. She did not need to ask any of these details. If she was looking for payment upfront. She being condescending and she was rude. And she refused to wipe the information clean. She went ahead and scanned it first. I assure you that this is one of the most ridiculously rude people I have had the displeasure of dealing with in an office. Complete red flag to go as far as demand social fully knowing you will be asking for payment. Plus I had provided proof of coverage. Never have I had to give the social when I had the actual insurance information. I would have paid for the visit had she started with that instead of asking for social.

I’ve tried calling a couple of times on different days and different times but I can never seem to get in touch with someone:/ I tried making an appointment online. Someone called me the next morning to leave a voicemail and said to call back. I was able to reach someone but the call dropped, haven’t been able to reach them sense. Not sure when they check their voicemails but I left some of those too

I am happy with the service provided i needed glasses that not other optometrist were able to give me. I am thankful that joy was able to help me with my situation and I highly recommended them. Great customer service.

Don't go to this place. I called this place and made an appointment. I called back to ask about the selection of glasses and the girl who answered the phone told me that I needed to call the people next door that they have nothing to do with glasses. I was very confused. An eye doctor who has nothing to do with glasses? To make a long story short, instead of telling me that the people next door provide the glasses she said they have nothing to do with glasses. wow! I called back again and the girl instead of answering the phone just transferred me to the store next door. And how rude.

I love coming here! I’ve been here 3 different times and never disappointed. Every 2-3 years I come back

Honestly one of the best places I've been to to have my eyes checked. Making an appointment was quick and easy, the building is clean and everything was sterilized right in front of me before being used. The doctor and the assistant/ receptionist were friendly and informative. The doctor addressed my issue and gave me helpful advice.

Went in as a walk in and the staff was great and quick and easy made me feel confident in the process and when the doctor came into the picture it was the best professional expirence with her easy to communicate and straight to it love that she's a veteran but all in all dope place hands down

I had no trouble completing my eye exam at this facility. The staff and doctor were incredibly friendly and competent. I came in for my annual military eye exam with all the necessary paperwork, and they assisted me promptly. Highly recommend!

My son broke his glasses during Thanksgiving break! I called El Paso West Eye Care with Dr Joy Schmalzle with short notice hoping to be able to be seen as soon as possible. I was able to get in and be seen that same day. Rose and Itati both worked great together as a team and were polite to us making us feel right at home. Dr was pleasant, down to earth, and very knowledgeable. Thanks to them my son got an exam for new glasses that same day. I will highly recommend it to all including friends and family. See you next year!!!

Friendly, efficient and thorough. Happy to have found Dr.Schmalzle and Rose. The lab was next door. I had my glasses in less than an hour.

I’m super impressed with my visit to get an eye exam for both glasses and contacts. Front desk staff Rose and Jenny did an excellent job in setting up a quick appointment for me and in processing my paperwork, performing the pre-examine tests and in explaining the rebate for my contacts as well placing the order that will arrive soon. The whole eye exam process was clear and easy. All prices were upfront and procedures to the point. Dr. Schmalzle is the best and she carefully explained everything to me and set me up immediately with contacts to walk out with as my prescriptions for both glasses and contacts . I feel very lucky to have found the perfect place . Thank you so much Dr. Schmalzle , Rose and Jenny! ☺️

Excellent customer service! Receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly. They took me in as a walk in, verified my insurance and i was out of there within 30 minutes as a new patient. The girl doing the eye exams was very friendly and answered all questions i had. The doctor was very nice and friendly. I highly recommend, i will be sending my family members there! Excellent customer service!

If you need a walk-in glasses or contact lens Rx exam, you need to call them! I was seen super fast, the staff was so friendly and efficient, and services were reasonably priced. Dr. Schmalzle was great to talk to and provided quick but thorough care. Thanks y'all!

Today December 7, 2023 I went to the office of Dr. JoyA. Schmalze…655 Sunland Park Drive…their office is very friendly and helpful and I was able to see Dr. Joy…she is wonderful and talked to me and listened to me.. not only did I get great service from her and lifted my spirits I just knew I choose the right Dr.She is fast and energetic and smiles so nice…This is an eye doctor to see…she is next to Eyemart Express…very nice and makes you very comfortable…Barbara Estrada

These eye care experience was pretty awesome , Dr. Schmalzie was very professional with my eye exam and made sure that my prescription fit my eye wear and very friendly , the staff were pretty courteous and helpful , thanks to all the staff

Today was my first time at this facility and I just walked-in, I was very pleased. The ladies at the front desk was very friendly, polite, and informative. A pet friendly person is a very kind and warm person and that was the doctor energy. Love this place highly recommend.

Dr. Schmalzle is very friendly and takes time to chat during the exams. The Staff is wonderful, friendly and pleasant, and they take the extra time to answer questions and ensure your payment information is accurate. This was my first time and i will surely go again.

What a great place! Doctor Joy and her staff are really kind, attentive and professionals. My daughters and I had an outstanding experience.

I received the wrong prescription on my last visit. When I returned, they refused to do a new eye exam. I never even got to see the doctor. $85 wasted, not including the cost of the glasses I had to return.

The 5 star reviews are real! I was looking for a new optometrist, and I am so pleased to have found this place. I called in the afternoon and was able to get a same day appointment. The front office staff were friendly and professional, the office was clean, well decorated and comfortable, and Dr. Schmalzle was amazing! She was friendly and professional and took the time to thoroughly explain/answer any questions that I had. I was also in and out of the office with my new prescription in a very reasonable amount of time.
