Doctor Emma is a wonderful doctor. She took the time and care needed to examine my eyes and recommended the right glasses and contacts. Doctor Emma reviewed with me alternative options and discussed future and possible treatments. She let me try various alternatives to improve my vision and scheduled a follow-up for further examination. I feel the process was smooth from booking the appointment to the exam to the suggested treatment. All in all it was a great experience that I highly recommend.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Dr. Emma Flor. I saw her a week or two ago for a complete eye exam and contacts exam and was completely blown away. I'll start by saying that I've had glasses for over 25 years and contacts for over 20, and have had my fair of optometrists –but Dr. Flor is something else! It was the most comprehensive eye + contacts exam I've ever had. I often get flustered when I get eye exams, because there's concern that you may receive the prescription. But Dr. Flor was so thorough, efficient, and reassuring. I could tell it was the most accurate evaluation I've received in a long time. Dr. Flor was not at her own practice the day I saw her, but rather was hosted by Kennedy and Perkins, which had a higher co-pay for contact exams for patients with special conditions (e.g., astigmatism), and they had all these extras, such as the option to take a photograph of your eyes that would cost extra. Dr. Flor was very honest in her evaluation. She advised that I didn't need all these extras. And her evaluation was that although I have minor astigmatism, I wouldn't be evaluated as such and wouldn't need special contacts accounting for it (lower co-pay). I have known this for a while: that I have minor astigmatism but not to a degree where it needs to be accounted for. She was so precise and honest in her evaluation –I really appreciated it so much. I can tell she also only thinks of her patient's best interests and evaluates all the trade-offs of different decisions carefully. For example, I suffer from constant allergies, so have always been prescribed Pataday and other related eyedrops for it. But she cautioned about the right dosage and explained that overuse of the allergy drops also contributes to dry eyes (my other condition). I have always been indecisive about dailies v. monthly contacts and about contacts v. getting lasik, and we talked through all the decisions. She answered all my questions, so carefully and efficiently. Point being: she's amazing!!! I would feel so at ease if I could have her as an optometrist forever.
