We are so grateful for the team at Northwest Family Eye Care. While traveling through SeaTac, I had some eye issues that needed immediate attention. We were seen right away, and the attention and care was thorough, professional, and top-notch. I would recommend this business to anyone needing any type of eye care.

Dr. Nguyen is one of the best optometrists I've seen thus far. She is very thorough and professional when it comes to explaining what's going with my eyes. I came for a regular check up and was very satisfied with how efficient and timely my appointment went. The staff there was also very accommodating to my needs. There is free parking across the street and the office is very clean. Cost was also very reasonable. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a great eye doctor!

The Optometrist is very helpful in explaining the procedure's importance and in answering alllll of my many questions. The receptionist is great at checking your insurance coverage beforehand(!) And in fitting your glasses to your face. Wonderful people all the way around. Very friendly, courteous and helpful.

I stumbled across this clinic after my friend recommended I go in for a routine eye check up. Dr. Nguyen and staff was able to quickly check me in an exam. Additionally I was very impressed with how Dr. Nguyen was thorough and attentive, when it came to the eye exam and my results. I would definitely recommend anyone needing eye care or just a checkup to visit.

Was looking around for a new eye doctor and came across Dr. Anita Nguyen’s clinic. During my visit, her and her staff were very personable and friendly. Loved their service. The space was also very clean and open, with lots of mirrors around for patients to look at frames. When browsing for frames, I was told that there are new frame brands and styles coming in soon, so I appreciate that they are staying up to date with new trends! The location is also very convenient, right in front of the transit station, lots of street parking and a nearby garage is available.

I had a high level of anxiety. I’ve been yelled at I was not telling the truth about my vision when I 20/200 vision that rapidly regenerated and I earned my vision back from a bacteria. I have had another place prescribe be 3 pairs of glasses one after another not being able to diagnose my eyes. I’ve had another tell me I need prisms when it wasn’t really acquired. I explained some of my experiences and my high anxiety levels. I was offered water as my throat went dry being nervous. She was kind and understanding of my experiences. Quickly diagnosed and took care of my vision issues being patient through out the process. Peyush (I tried to remember his name) had incredible fashion sense in clothes and his glasses. He did a great job helping me pick a pair and knew exactly how to work with me. I had a great experience and I really look forward to receiving my new pair for the great style and vision correction. Dr. Kaur is fantastic. She addressed my severe dry eye concerns thoroughly. I am excited to continue working with Dr. Kaur to help manage my dry eye and get some pain relief.

Dr. Kaur has a real concern for the health of her patients eyes. She is very proactive about clearing overgrowths of eyelash mites and explains very well how they can impair one’s vision if left untreated, using advanced technologies to give the patient a clear picture of any eye issues.

Office is clean and nice. Staff was professional and efficient. Dr. Kaur was friendly and did a wonderful job making my daughter feel comfortable for her first eye exam. She was well researched and explained things throughly but still understandable. Very impressed!

They were honest and the doctor thoroughly explained everything I needed to know.

I wasn’t planning on writing a review, but after my experience with the glasses I purchased here, I felt I needed to share. The eye exam with the doctor was fine, so this review is mainly about the glasses. I bought the frames and lenses in September 2023 and paid $300 after insurance. The frames themselves were $310 (I checked my insurance claim to confirm). I chose these MODO titanium frames (model 4426) because I was told they’d be lightweight, which I needed because my lenses are very heavy. I expressed concern about their sturdiness, but the optician assured me that the flexibility would prevent any issues. They told me the glasses would be ready in about two weeks, but it ended up taking about three. When I went in to pick them up, the optician who would typically adjust them was on vacation, which happens. A trainee tried to adjust the glasses for me, and they felt okay at the time. They assured me I could come back anytime if they became uncomfortable. After a few days of wear, I noticed deep dents on my nose and behind my ears – to the point where it was painful. Since this has never happened to me before, I found it odd and put the glasses flat on the table. They were completely lopsided. I understand not everyone’s face is symmetrical, but it was laughable how badly they were adjusted – I wish I had taken pictures. I went back, and the main optician adjusted them. They also acknowledged the red grooves behind my ears. They apologized for the inconvenience, which I appreciated. I could tell they had more experience based on how they handled the frames and my ears. But after wearing them for a few more days, I still had dents on a different area of my nose, and they still dug into my ears. I ended up going back 3-4 times over the course of a month for adjustments. It was frustrating, especially since their hours are limited to just two days a week and during regular business hours. Each visit meant I had to take 1-2 hours off work. Finally, after 18 months of wearing these glasses, the frame broke today. The bridge snapped completely while I was wiping the lens. I’m careful with my things, so this wasn’t from rough handling. Could the multiple adjustments have caused this? Who knows. I understand that businesses can’t be blamed for a product’s quality if they didn’t manufacture it, but at the same time, you should stand behind what you sell and recommend. I have no desire to tape my glasses together and look like Harry Potter given how round these frames are :/ Luckily, I have a pair of old glasses to wear until I get new ones, but I won’t be coming back here.

Had a great time with Dr. Kaur! I’d never noticed the office right across from the transit center yet I’m really glad I found it. She was very professional and I can tell that not only is she passionate about her work, but incredibly knowledgeable as well. I genuinely feel like my eyes are in excellent care after visiting her office. Her office is spotless and the staff are also very friendly. 10/10 recommend

Tens across the board! I was overdue for a vision exam and was able to easily book an appointment with Dr. Nguyen online. Dr. Anita Nguyen and her entire staff are not only the sweetest humans, but they’re thorough, intelligent and patient. She had the newest tech I have personally seen, which made the exam so much more in-depth than what I am normally used to! Our exam was so informative that it left me a little shocked thinking back on every other eye exam I’ve had in the past. This is the kind of doctor and place you want your entire family and community to see. She is thorough through and through, and I will never go anywhere else!

Dr Kaur and her husband are truly amazing people. They both care a great deal about there patients and treat you like family. Dr. Kaur has great compassion, knowledge and is up on all of the latest equipment to make diagnosis more proficient. I highly recommend them.

everyone here was really helpful and kind! i also visited the bonney lake location and it was a great experience. i was really nervous and had never experienced the eye problems i was having but they talked me through everything, were super accommodating and helpful. highly recommend!

I don’t usually leave reviews for clinics, but this one is an exception! They were able to fit me in last minute for an emergency exam and the doctor was so incredibly kind and personable. She even offered to come in on her off day to check up on my eye infection. I felt very safe and taken care of here!

I couldn't have had a better experience with Dr. Kaur and the staff here. I had to find a new eye Dr because of a change in insurance. I was a bit hesitant, but my experience couldn't have been better. They are conveniently located by the transit center in downtown Renton. They were great with scheduling and follow-up. My son had a real bad corneal abrasion across the front of his eye. He was injured on a Saturday after hours. I left a voicemail and received a call right back with the appropriate medication sent to the pharmacy and they told me everything I should expect. She even offered to see him the next day if he was still having a hard time even though they were normally closed. I am so grateful there are still people that care outside business hours! 💯 % recommended for your family! Thank you so much for your care above and beyond!

This place is terrible! I have called multiple times and left voicemails and no one ever calls back. When I finally spoke to them they informed me most of the time no one is here and they dont have anyone at the front desk. Seemed sketchy and cancelled my appointment.

I recently went here for an eye exam and had a such a great experience! I was looking for a new optometrist closer to home and came across Northwest Family Eye Center through Google. I saw Dr. Anita Nguyen, and she was wonderful - friendly, easy to talk to, and incredibly knowledgeable. She took the time to answer my questions and made the entire visit comfortable and enjoyable.
