It seems that Dr. Wasserman's office manager has a lack of understanding of elderly patients as it relates to their general use of technology. My 91 year old mother had an appointment that was scheduled a year prior and the office did not send out an appointment postcard or any reminder other than leaving a voicemail on her cell phone. She does not pickup voicemails from phone numbers she does not recognize in an effort to avoid becoming a victim of scammers. Well, she missed the appointment and Dr. Wasserman's office billed her $75. I phoned and spoke to the office manager and tried to explain this to her, and while she admitted that this has happened with other elderly patients, she did not understand the need to change their practices when it comes to dealing with the elderly. I suggested they either send a postcard reminder or ensure they speak to the patient directly, and not rely on voicemail, at least when it comes to their elderly patients. She said that's not going to happen. I then advised that I will be sure to post a review on Google explaining this so others will know. Well, the office manager perceived this to be a threat (I guess because they have a number of terrible reviews already, many questioning their billing practices and complaining about their office staff), and so Dr. Wasserman sent a certified letter to my mother advising that they were dropping her as a patient because I threatened them. I'm sure this will generate a counter-response but my account of the situation as it occurred is accurate.

Great job, Leonora and Dr Wasserman! Leonora has been doing an outstanding job since joining the practice. The first time I met her and needed frames, I was so impressed by how hard she worked to track down and order exactly what I was looking for to make sure I could make my purchase with you. Since then, her dedication to helping us - by working hard and making it seem easy - has continued and we really appreciate it. She also goes above and beyond in terms of welcoming patients and grabbing forms to get a jumpstart so we’re not standing and waiting, and she has even helped me get an appointment moved up to work better with my insurance. She’s a friendly bright face we’ve come to know and trust and I wanted to commend her on her efforts. Additionally, Dr. Wasserman is exceptional. He is extremely knowledgeable and it’s fun to hear how excited he gets about the science of your eyes. But on top of that, he is warm, friendly and always leaves us feeling confident we are in the best care. We trust him with our eyes and could not recommend him more highly.

Dr Wasserman is wonderful. Unfortunately the rest of his staff stinks. I received a collection notice about a bill I didn’t even know about at the same time as I received one from the office. Some of the billing was duplicated. When I went into the office she told me that she hadn’t sent anything to a credit agency. Finally she looked it up and voila! She found it. Thanks for messing with my credit score.
