I had a great experience. My exam started very soon after I checked in. The y oung lady who started my exam was so pleasant an upbeat the experience was enjoyable. Dr. Richert is always so thorough and I feel assured when the exam is over. As a Mono-ocular person this is very important to me. She has my complete trust.

Had follow up vision appointment with Dr. Lichtenberg today after my cataract surgery last fall. Everyone is so kind and friendly here. My husband has lifelong eye issues has been going here for ages. I really liked my small one doctor clinic and I stuck with them even after we moved across town, but this year Eye Care West went WAY above and beyond in their care and assisting him with funding through his medical insurance. I knew it was time to go back to try them again for my own care. I was not disappointed! Each of their staff members was knowledgeable and helpful. They took extra time to explain my options and even explained why I wouldn't necessarily need extras like a tiny adjustment in my contact lens prescription and blue light coating for my glasses. The frame selection was really nice with options to fit different budgets and even a 50% off rack of gorgeous frames. Zero pressure to buy. Nice and quiet. And the nice coffee machine in the lobby doesn't hurt anything either. Whether you need specialty care or just an annual checkup, they are definitely the place to help you out. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to anything involving my eyes, but the entire staff was incredibly gentle, patient, and reassuring. They took the time to make me feel comfortable, and their state-of-the-art equipment gave me confidence that I was receiving the best care possible. I have been a patient at Eye Care West for many years. FIrst with Dr. Godowski and now Dr. Richert. She is amazing and explains everything that is going on and is so thorough. Had cataracts with her referral and she keeps any eye on my eyes as I have diabetes and Macular runs in my family. Highly recommend!

I’d highly suggest this place to anyone in need of eye care. They’ve been a wonderful family resource for years. They noticed my youngest son has exotropia, and because they identified it, they helped us find the right support for him. When my wife developed cataracts, they directed her to an excellent doctor for cataract removal and lens replacement, and now she doesn’t need glasses at all. I’m so impressed with everyone’s professionalism and helpfulness. Dr. Schmidt and Dr. Lichtenburg are truly amazing. They’re easy to talk to and explain everything clearly, and you can really see how much they care about their patients. Their optical department is also fantastic. I chatted with Crystal (she’s incredibly knowledgeable and professional), and I told her I wanted a new look. She found me some new frames and lenses that made me look both dapper and trendy. My exam was nothing short of exceptional. They have the latest technology and Dr. Richert took time explaining the results and what they mean. The staff was welcoming and helpful. They have built an all-encompassing place of business that also serves the health of their clients.

I'm one doctor away from having had an appointment with them all! Each time I've been in, it has been pleasant (even with all the fancy gadgets and gizmos that flash my eyes and make me cry). Great people every step of the way! I am not the target demographic for frames, but they have a lot of brands and styles on display.

I really wanted to have a positive experience with EyeCare West, and while the staff has always been kind, polite, and communicative, the process of getting a correct pair of glasses has been incredibly frustrating. I started this process with my eye exam in late March. My first pair of glasses was ready on May 7th, but the prescription was incorrect and the lenses had to be remade. When the second pair still wasn’t right, I had to see the doctor again, who determined that my prescription needed to be changed. This wasn’t a matter of me simply needing to adjust to new glasses. The prescription itself had to be redone. After that, I discovered that the lenses I had originally been sold were not the highest-quality option available. The outer portions of the lenses had noticeable distortion, and I wasn’t made aware that there was an upgraded lens that would reduce that issue. Once I learned about it, I had the lenses remade again with the upgraded material. I was hopeful that this would finally solve everything. Unfortunately, when I went to pick them up today, I found a significant distortion directly in the center of the lenses, right where my eyes sit as they look directly forward. The prescription is finally correct, and the upgraded lens fixed the peripheral distortion, but now there appears to be a defect in the center of the lens. I couldn’t even take the glasses home. It’s now mid-July, and I’m still waiting for a usable pair of glasses that should have been finished months ago. Having to remake the lenses multiple times because of an incorrect prescription, then the lens selection, and now what appears to be a manufacturing defect has made this process exhausting. I genuinely appreciate how kind and responsive everyone has been throughout this process, and I know mistakes can happen. However, after several remakes over more than two months, it has become difficult not to feel like I’m being viewed as a difficult customer when all I’ve wanted is a pair of glasses that are made correctly. I’m sharing this review in the hope that EyeCare West improves its quality control and communication so future patients don’t have to go through such a lengthy process. I also sincerely hope this experience has a happy ending. If the next pair is finally correct and this process is successfully completed, I’d be more than happy to update this review to reflect that. As it stands today, though, this review reflects the experience I’ve had so far, which unfortunately has been far more difficult and time-consuming than it should have been.

I highly recommend Eye Care West! Their up-to-date test equipment insures an accurate diagnosis.. Their support staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and Dr. Lichtenberg explains her diagnosis well. They have a large collection of high quality frames available.

This past weekend I got something in my eye. I called in Monday morning and they were able to get me in at Noon on the same day! Dr. Schmidt was very responsive, fast and easy to work with and it’s obvious that she cares about her patients. I highly recommend Eye Care West!

I absolutely love Eye Care West!! Dr Schmidt is the perfect “eye doctor package”- Knowledgeable, kind, takes time to explain (and sometimes for me, re-explain), and so easy to talk with. I can say the very same thing for each of the technicians I have ever worked with over the five + years I have been a patient there. I would name each of them, but then I’d forget someone. They all work well together as a team, you can tell that they enjoy and support each other. I also love that I can sit in the waiting area and have a cup of coffee, but I only get a couple sips before they call me back ha ha. Always very prompt! Whenever I have chosen new frames, I love the help I get as well! 10 stars for Eye Care West!!!!!!!!!!
