Dr. Turgeon is an excellent ophthalmologist who really knows his stuff. Getting an appointment with this guy is hard, and most of the time you have to sit in the waiting room well after your appointment time to see him, but it's for a good reason: so many people want to see him! His demeanor at first seems more businesslike than it does personable, but once you get to know him you see he is very much on your side. I have advanced glaucoma and need to be under constant observation, so when I recently moved to this area I contacted Eye Centers for an appointment. I first saw a different doctor but he quickly referred me to Dr. Turgeon since he handles the most difficult cases. When I saw Dr. Turgeon the first time he immediately diagnosed the severity of my problem and clearly explained why he thought I needed an additional surgical procedure to get the eye pressure lower and under better control. That was done with no complications, and the pressure dropped well into the desired range. He plans to keep both my eyes under close surveillance into the future. I have nothing but good things to say about the quality of Dr. Turgeon's care!

I had cataract surgery in 2017 along with a I-stent and ECP procedure for glaucoma. The results were excellent. My eye pressure dropped to normal and my vision with a Toric lens implant became 20/15 requiring only that I use reading glasses. Dr. Turgeon performed the surgery using a laser on both eyes. The staff at Eye Centers and the Iris Center were wonderful during and after the surgery procedure, the procedure was painless and healing was quick. I highly recommend both Dr. Turgeon and the Iris Center.

Dr. Turgeon is all about how much he can put into his pocket. I was diagnosed with keratoconus from my optometrist. Went to see Dr. Turgeon to confirm the diagnosis and best treatment options. Dr Turgeon comes into the room, doesn't even introduce himself, looks through a little thing that he holds up to his eye and says "you have keratoconus". Well thanks. You'd think a doctor of this caliber would take an extra few minutes to explain whats going on and the best treatment options. Nope. He had the assistant read stuff from the internet to me and the poor assistant apologized multiple times. They said they wanted to fit me for these special contact lenses. I made the appointment. The day of the appointment, the office called and had to reschedule due to a conflict. No problem, stuff happens. The lady on the phone says the next time they could get me in was 4 weeks later. Woahh!! I said I have a follow up appointment in two weeks and to put me down and when I come in for the followup she said they might be able to do it then. I was told that I had to go to the mckinley rd office the next time and not the frank rd office. 2 weeks go by and I go to the mckinley rd office. Dr Dickey was going to see me. He was super nice. I waited for 20 mins, got in to see him and the first words out of his mouth were "you have keratoconus, why arent you seeing dr turgeon". Dr turgeons not at the mckinley office that day and the secretary would reschedule my appointment. Now i'm really upset. The secretary then proceeds to tell me that the next appt for dr turgeon wouldnt be until 3 months later. But we can put you on a waiting list along with 8 other people. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Apparently this is how this office is run. They don't care about you as a person. The name of the game for dr turgeon is how many patients can I see in a day and how much can I bill out, rather than doing a little due diligence on his part to show he actually cares about his patients. I would never refer this guy to anyone.
