I called month in advance and gave the lady my insurance information. She made my appointment and the staff even called me to reschedule and push my appt out further. Finally, on appt date his staff called me to confirm i'd be there. I went to appt and then was told they don't take my insurance. The inconvenience and my time wasted is why I give his staff 1 star but it should be 0 stars. My health is important and if yours is to ... do not go here.

My son had an accident at school with paper to the eye. Dr. Gerdes got us in right away and made him comfortable. He treated it and we walked right back in the next morning for a follow up. The staff were all very nice and made the whole process a breeze. Would highly recommend for all of your eye care needs!

I really liked the Doctor's sense of humor, although I disagreed with some things he was telling me. Everyone was always pleasant, but here's this. I continually said I needed long temples. When I got the glasses, I commented, but Prussia (sp?) said all is well, she'd lengthen them. I continued to tell and show what another place did. She never lengthened them to the right fit like she said. Then I kept saying the peripheral vision was off. I then asked for Prussia to help me. She said it was accurate. NOT. But she would not listen to all my requests that things weren't right. I understood the pricing to be much lower also. I paid $462. I finally could not take it any longer and had another eye exam and new glasses ten months later. What a difference. No more eye strain and moving my head around WAY too much. In fact, I don't even consciously move my head around, if I do at all. At the cost of another $500.
