I had an appointment to have an prosthetic eye replaced. I was escorted to the rooms where the prosthetic eyes were made and seated. Immediately two dogs started running around my feet and barking. Their food and water bowls where in front of me on the floor. The lady started talking about the dogs. She indicated the owner liked having them in the office. She asked me if I liked dogs. I explained that I like dogs but I prefer them outside…..not in my house! I felt the area should have more sanitary. I didn’t want dog hair on me. I was actually diagnosed a few years ago with an allergy from the dander from cats and dogs. I want anything associated with my health to be done in a clean, sanitary condition and environment. It was explained to me that the dogs would be in the room during the process of making my new eye. I excused myself and left the building. I later called the owner and tried to explain my situation and why I wouldn’t have my eye made in a unsanitary facility. He was rude and let me know he didn’t care about my business or opinion.
