I have been coming to see Dr. Swofford since I was a kid. It's been over 12 years and I cannot say enough about him. He knows his patients and always asks about how my life is going. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my eye care.

By far the best eye doctor I have ever been to. I called on a Wednesday, got the appointment Thursday, and my wife picked my glasses up on Friday. The staff is incredibly and willing to help you in anyway they can. Their prices are fantastic. I just got my second annual eye exam and set of glasses and I will continue to come back. My wife is going for her first time next week and is excited about the frame options they have for ladies. I can’t say enough about this place. They’re the only eye doctor we will ever go to.

The owner, Bobbie, was snotty and rude. They are not friendly and do not know how to work with children. She put a piece of paper in front of her mouth to talk badly of us bc my daughter is on Medicaid insurance. From the moment you walk in the door you have a bad experience. Not to mention they have very limited options anyway

I went here last week and received the worst service I’ve ever encountered. The lady at the front desk actually laughed at me at one point and was pretty rude. The doctor himself was ridiculously rude, he ignored any thing I asked him and would just repeat himself over and over again if I didn’t do what he said within the same second he said it. He asked me about contacts and I said I was interested in my options and not even 5 minutes later the front desk lady sat me down and said it would be 60 dollars for the contact exam and they already did it. He didn’t tell me he was doing it or ask if I wanted it before or anything. Beyond ridiculous experience. Do NOT go to this office.

Absolutely amazing service. I'm not even their customer/patient and I came by to have my eyeglasses frames fixed. Not only did they do it perfectly, but super nice! Thank you so much all!

Dr Swofford is great! Very efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and kind. Front desk staff is great. Highly recommend this place!

I needed to share this experience I just had here that I’m not sure even what to think of, but definitely such a waste of time. I called and made an appointment less than a week ago and I gave the receptionist my insurance and she specifically stated that I wouldn’t be able to schedule for Friday because the doctor that took that insurance worked until Wednesday. I walked in that morning and was told I must have called another office. I literally called the number I called in front of him and heard the office phone ring. I told him we came to that office before and he claimed that between my call and appointment day they stopped taking it. So assuming all this is true they should have called me and let me know so I could look somewhere else and avoid driving all the way to their office! Terrible customer service and fishy situation without an explanation, just insinuating I made a mistake . So in case you’re looking for a place this office DOES NOT TAKE MEDICAID

If you are looking to get your Medicare approved glasses here after Cataract Surgery, they will not accept to do the paperwork for you. In other words you will have to pay for them here. I already asked them and chose the Walmart in Buford because they would do the paperwork so I could get my free glasses. Unfortunately, many places will not do the paperwork because it is time consuming. I would check with you Medicare office and find out what optometrists will accept in your area.

Good place. I've been going there for the last 10 years and have been happy with their service. Not expensive and prompt.

Just had a bad experience at this place. I have a daughter that wear glasses and contacts.The doctor asked if she wear glasses or contacts. I said both. The doctor then mentioned that we had to pay an additional price for the contacts. I was totally aware of that. Then she asked if we were doing an eye glass exam or contact exam. Since my daughter wear contacts mostly I said contact exam. So as we were getting ready to check out they said that I had to pay for the contact exam. That was never mentioned but she made sure that she mentioned that there was a contact cost. Had I known that I would've had to pay for this I would’ve declined. This was our first and last visit to this place. I will never come back again.

I have been going to eyesite of Buford for close to 10 years now and have been very happy with the team. Straight-forward, respectful conversation. Love the team.

They are very Professional! This office is always stocked with the newest frames around. They are the Best and yet have the Cheapest prices & Patient Care around? I have called other offices to compare prices!And you just can not beat the Service, patient care or prices. This is the worst. How can they say family in their name when they treat children horrible. I just want to get the word out they are rude and disgusting.

This is the best eye doctor around! Every time we’ve gone, we’ve been treated with the upmost respect. They have incredible customer service and make my family and I’s yearly evaluations very pleasant. There’s such a friendly atmosphere every appointment, and we’ve been going for years. Was in urgent need of short term supply of contacts. Called half dozen larger stores but none could help, except for the Eye Doctor of Buford. Great service, very prompt and helpful. Thank you!!

Recently moved to the area and came here because of the good reviews. But will now look for another place to go. Came here for glasses, first time just to get a quote and check out the frames. Next time I went to order the glasses. They are open until 6 but the guy who does the glasses leaves at 5:30. So, third time I went there at 4 to catch the guy who leaves at 5:30 but he wasn't there. Bummer. Also, the doctor has particular manners, you can like them or not. Started to ask me what my problem was while I was still talking to the lady at the desk, w/o even introducing himself at all. The lady at the desk had to tell me that he is the doctor. Long story short: have been here 3 times, didn't get anything done.

I feel like I was being in a Shakedown to have cataract surgery I told them I would like a second opinion never got back with me ice schedule appointment with MUSC don't trust these guys

I am a customer of this place for long time and it is one of the best places in Georgia, my experiences has been the best.

I usually don’t review a place unless they’re really good or really bad. In this case this place is terrible. And here is why, I went in to the store to fix my glass frames that were slightly bended and Scott took my glasses and snapped it in front of me, this happened in July 2021. Scott said that they should be ready for pick up within 7 days. 7 days later, glasses still is process. A month later glasses still in process. Three month later glasses still in process. Reminder, my glasses only needed the frames fixed, the lens were completely fine. Two months later, glasses still is PROCESSING! Finally, after months of wearing contacts and numerous eyes drops. I finally gave in and went in this location. Only to find out the they had misplaced my glasses and they were never in processes as they told me every time I called. Scott found the glasses and said they would be ready once again in seven days. Heard that before, smh! After SIX months, today I picked up my glasses. Frames were fixed but lens were scratched pretty badly! I paid $400 for these glasses, so yeah I’m disappointed to say the least! I can guarantee I would never be a customer again. And for anyone reading this, save your money and time and go somewhere else. Somewhere they actually treat and value customers!

I had a terrible experience at this clinic. Despite being a long-time glasses wearer, I have never encountered such a lack of basic professionalism. First, they did not even measure my PD (Pupillary Distance), which is fundamental for any prescription. When I pointed this out, the doctor was extremely dismissive, claiming "the machine did everything" and treated me as if I didn't know what I was talking about. Because they relied solely on machine data and skipped the Trial Frame test, the glasses were impossible to wear. The floor looked warped (rising up), and I felt severe dizziness.

They were amazing! Very affordable and was out in no time. We made the mistake of going to Visionworks in the mall first. Go here first don’t make the same mistake we did. This place is our go to for glasses now!!

I recently came here from a family recommendation, and I think I just found my go-to eye care place! The staff are so professional and kind. Also, Dr. Swofford is extremely efficient and straightforward. I really appreciate how patient he was with me during the exam even though I have a horrible flinching reflex. Would highly recommend!

Dr. Swofford was my first eye doctor when I was a kid, and Chip fit me for my first set of eyeglasses. I was the kid who “smiled because I could finally see the leaves on the trees”. Then, I worked at EyeSite with Chip and Dr. Swofford in 2009. Everyone at the practice is treated like family. Chip is very skilled- he does a great job of keeping a stylish frame selection for the patients to choose from and he knows how to repair or adjust just about anything. Dr. Swofford does a very thorough, yet efficient exam. Short wait times, honest care, helpful staff. They are incredible. They can help you with all of your eye care needs. I loved working with them, and they were very encouraging. So much so, they inspired me to become an optometrist! 11 years later, and now I practice in Florida.
