I cannot say enough good about this business! I had cataract surgery in both eyes this week and the patient care was outstanding! Everyone was cordial and so professional. I was nervous about eye surgery and they all worked to reassure me that I was in good hands. A big shout out to Dr. Lehman, Shultz, and Sharp! They were excellent! The pickup service to and from the clinic was also over the top! Thanks to Paul, Mike, and Linda for safe and relaxing drives on my surgery days. Piano playing and chocolate chip cookies was a lovely culmination on my post opt day. I highly recommend Eye Specialist of Indiana on West 86th St.

They started by assuming I wanted a generic eye drop AFTER my surgery! They also did each eye one day apart- bad idea. I couldn’t see in light for almost 6 months because the drops burned my eyes. I returned a few times for help, and they kept telling me to put more drops in - which burned them even more! ALSO my Opthamologist left instructions for them not to correct my vision because my vision was very good but after the surgery, my vision was messed up too! I had been given a coupon from my ophthalmologist, which they said they would honor for Lasik treatment. However, the day I went in for that, after I had been given something to relax me for the LASIK, one of the doctor owners (Walton) came in and accused me of wanting something for nothing and had the nurse lead us out of the building. My husband practically had to carry me because I was woozy from the medicine!

The way they treated my 101 grandmother was abhorrent. I know you're asking why is she getting her eyes checked? It's simple. Because she can and deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. She was there for 3.5 hours. She was left in a room without staff interaction. Then, only trainees came in to see her. She was appalled at the treatment. They scheduled her next appointment for 6 months, but in her words, "They will be disappointed because I'm never coming back".
