Made my daughters prescription incorrectly and refused to refund (and other issues) I purchased glasses from Eye Wares on 6/8/2023. I was told the glasses would be ready in 2 weeks. I called to check a couple times after the glasses were supposed to be ready and was told each time they were still in the lab. I waited. I called again later and was told they were ready but still at the lab uptown. I drove uptown myself to pick them up and finally received my daughter's glasses on 7/8/2023. 2 weeks late. Not the best communication and customer service, but I let it slide. Then my daughter broke her glasses. I brought them back fully expecting to just have to pay for a new pair. One of the associates told me that they may be within warranty and that they would check and get back to me in a couple days, which I appreciated. No one ever called me back, so I again had to call them. I was told that the glasses are being made and should be ready in a couple days. Great. In the meantime, I brought my daughter for her checkup with here eye doctor. The doctor checked her glasses and notified me that the lens for the right eye was not made according to the specs he provided in the prescription. When I went back to Eye Wares to request a refund (for the lenses only since the frames were broken) I was told no by the store owner. She accused me of trying to get a refund because the frames were broken. She said they could make the lenses again. Why would I want them to make the lenses again when I've had this experience with them? Don't waste your money or time with this business.

My wife and I went there recently and it was a bad experience. Went it came time to see Dr. Agnew, she did a poor job of determining the prescription I needed. She rushed through the optics process and before I knew it, she was at the door ready for me to leave. I probably spent no more than 5-10 minutes with her. My previous prescription was old and I needed a slightly strong prescription but because of the rush with the optics, I didn't agree with her new prescription which was basically the same one as before. When it came to getting a quote for new lenses to replace the older worn out scratched ones, the costs were sky high. When it came to paying for just the exam, the bill was high even with insurance. When my wife came out of her eye exam with Dr. Agnew, she said literally the same thing about Dr. Agnew rushing through the exam and my wife I had to tell her to go back to previous optics so she can determine which optics provided more clarity as this forms the basis for the new prescription. When I questioned Dr. Agnew about getting the same old prescription, she became somewhat argumentative. I told my wife that we would get future eye exams and lenses/frames elsewhere.

Dr. Agnew and her team at the mandeville office are extremely helpful and knowledgeable on all of their products. They have such a large range of fashion forward designers and lines to choose from. I hate picking out glasses for myself, but they were so patient and accommodating to my indecisiveness. Thanks again Eyewares for the super stylish glasses! I love them.
