I have had two negative experiences with EyeCare Plus in the past. On One Occasion, I booked an eye appointment over the phone for my daughter. We arrived and the office was closed because they were observing a holiday. I could not believe they booked the appointment despite being closed on that particular holiday. On the second occasion, my 13 year old daughter wanted to try contacts for the first time. We were in the small examining room which was VERY warm. They were able to get one in her first eye and my daughter started to have a FULL blown panic attack. She requested to leave and could not get out of there fast enough. EyeCare Plus was more concerned with me making payment than the well being of my daughter. I had to delay the departure of my daughter to make payment that very minute despite the fact that I would have gladly paid the bill over the phone once I got my daughter home or they could have mailed me the bill. Once I got my daughter home, I called to see if we could come back a few days later for another attempt at trying to use contacts. EyeCare Plus said I would be charged all over again for the entire appointment despite the circumstances. Needless to say, I have NOT been back and will not go back. They put $ over the care of their patients. It is sad that common decency, showing empathy and respect is not a priority at EyeCare Plus.

I just received a call about a cancelled appointment and asked the receptionist if I could call her right back to confirm I can take the appointment and she said sure. Asked my boss if I could take the morning off and called back in less than 10 min only for it to be rescheduled for another person. Don’t tell me you’ll wait for my return call just to reschedule it. Bad business practice! The last few visits haven’t been pleasant anyways and this just made me realize we might have to look for another optometrist office. Dr. Crockett is a great eye doctor, it’s just his staff has gone downhill over the years and a good doctor can’t carry the business alone.
