Josue was so helpful! Bent my frames and popped a lens out on accident and he repaired them in no time better than they were before. Great expertise from the optometrists when I got my prescription done as well.

Much better than my old optometrist. It was a little hard to get there because of the location but the assistant was very welcoming and so was the doctor. Didn't make me feel like I was dumb or try to overcharge me. They were very transparent with what I would be paying out of pocket after my insurance

I found my glasses in a parking lot. The frame was bent and a lens popped out. I took them to EYEcenter Optometric. They gave me a new frame under warranty. I also got an eye exam to get an updated prescription for new lenses. They have new technology that does a glaucoma test without touching your eyes. Much more comfortable. The exam was very thorough.

They destroyed my glasses while adding new lenses. They did not offer to repair them, provide new glasses, or give me a credit. They simply said sorry and gave them back to me. To be fair, they did have me sign a release, but they assured me they could do the lens exchange and committed to installing them in-house. This they did not do. They sent the glasses to VSP without my approval or knowledge, and then I spent a month trying to get the damaged glasses into my possession. I would not recommend using EYECenter for the shear lack of customer service or attempt at customer satisfaction.

The costumer service was awesome. And the doctor very professional and I really recommend this Eye clinic for your eye exam.

Let’s be honest—most appointments like this feel mechanical. This one didn’t. It was still efficient, still structured, but with just enough human attention to make it tolerable, even pleasant. No overselling, no unnecessary extras—just competent work done properly.

This team is amazing! They are not only professional, they are kind and treat their patients like people and not just another number. I am always pleased at each visit.

I had an emergency today.. My son's glasses had a lense fall out while it was being stored for him at the Sutter Hospital!! He is practically blind without his glasses.. I googled glasses repair in the immediate area and Eyecenter Optometric showed to be .2 of a mile! I walked over there with the glasses.. The receptionist was so friendly and she repaired his glasses in no time! And she refused any form of a payment!! WOW!! BEST SERVICE EVER!! Oh, she gave me a small bottle of lens cleaning solution and an eye glass cloth!!

Excellent eye care. Plus, they have always been on time and ready for me at my scheduled time. You have plenty of time in front of the doctor to state any concerns or questions you may have. My experience has been, that Dr Palmer has never judged and would take the time necessary to ensure I was comfortable or content with the explanation.

My favorite of my 4 drs. The girl at the service desk is so smart n funny. Anytime I need help I feel like I’m in good hands

I am so glad I found EYEcenter Optometric. I have somewhat complicated vision insurance, which must be billed through my medical plan. I have had the hardest time finding a place that is willing to take my insurance. I booked my appointment online, which was super easy, and when I didn't get a phone call saying they didn't find my insurance I assumed I was good to go. I found EYEcenter through my insurance portal so I knew they would be preferred providers. Sure enough, I show up and they tell me right away there was a problem finding my insurance. Of course, I was disappointed by yet another rejection. However, much to my surprise both the person who checked me in and the tech (I regret I don't recall their names) took the extra time (at least 15 minutes) to figure out the issue and they found my insurance plan and were able to help me! I was ecstatic! By this time, it was easily 20 minutes past my appointment time, but they still took care of me AND they were nice about it!!! No one made me feel bad, and no one seemed frustrated with me or the situation. On top of that Dr. Jansen Coen has to honestly be one of the first eye doctors that has actually listened to my concerns about my contacts not feeling right (I've been in contacts/glasses for 20+years). He was kind, patient and is insistent on helping make sure I can truly see better. I left feeling like I am going to have better vision and they will work to make sure that happens. I am still in trial contacts, and I think we might be there quite yet with perfect vision, but I feel super confident that I will be much happier once we've got it dialed in. I would recommend any and every one try their practice. Thank you so much to everyone involved!

Was in yesterday for a VA referral. Brought my service dog in as it started to heat up outside in the car. From the moment walking in, interacting with the front desk, working with Jessica then meeting the young optometrist... Absolutely amazing professional experience! Under the Dr's leadership, Eyecenter on J. St Sacramento is the epitome of professionalism and a model for every small business. These people are going places! Thanks Team!

I've been going to EYEcenter Optometric for several years and have. always been more than satisfied with the Doctors, and Technicians that take care of me. They are friendly, kind and thorough with the tests and examination. I recommend them to anyone who cares about their eye health. Free parking in a lot at their building, which make me appreciate them even more! And they take Delta Dental Insurance. Keep your eye on the prize and visit these kind folks!

Been using EyeCenter Optometric for several years. The eye exams have been great as well as the optometry department, up untill recently, but I've had an ongoing problem with mistakes made on orders and a lack of communication. Every week I called to check on the order on these glasses and they told me they'll come in next week and I'll get a call. No call. When I go in to ask I'm told that they are having a problems with the lab. Not sure what's going on but it can't be just the lab there has been very poor communication, and it's been a month at least and no follow-up or updates.

Small space shared with a dental office. Boutique feel to the frames displays, but range from basic to designer. Every staff member was genuinely kind and friendly. Any additional costs were discussed ahead of time and explained clearly. And the process of building my glasses order was quick and easy, even though I changed my pick of features based on budget half way through. I got there 30 minutes before my appointment to take my time to pick out frames. So right after the exam, I went straight to narrowing down my choices with the sales rep and building my order.

This was my first visit to the midtown location, however I've utilized the Folsom office for years. Very pleased with all the staff I've encountered over the years. Excellent eye care.

The staff and Dr. Jansen Coen were amazing! I had the most thorough exam and learned about an issue I was having with my eye. No other eye doctor or ophthalmologist was able to explain this to me. I appreciated getting answers and the time the doctor spent with me during the exam process. I would highly recommend this office! I can't wait to pick up my new glasses. :)

Great staff put me at ease immediately as I was in pain from an eye injury. They were able to get me in the same day which was huge. They were kind & patient explaining everything during my eye exam. Dr Coen was amazing very thorough best doctor I’ve seen in years hands down. Highly Recommend!

I have been going to EYEcenter for 2 years. I have worn glasses since I was 8 and contacts since I was 16. I'm so impressed with how thorough my eye exams are. This office seems to have much more updated equipment than the last eye doctor I was seeing (in San Diego), and they are always really quick and courteous. With my glasses, I've been able to come in multiple times to get them adjusted after trying them out. The staff are always VERY attentive and willing to make any adjustments very quickly. The office is well organized and I've never had to wait more than a minute to be seen. The office is also shared with my dentist so that makes it very convenient!

Welcoming staff, thorough explanations of the exams and tests and really they have a very patient gentleman that helped me pick out my frames. He didn’t hurry me and gave a bunch of different and honest options. Overall great experience!! I highly recommend!

Dr. Coen literally saved my vision by diagnosing a retinal hole(I had no symptoms) and referring me to an ophthalmologist for a procedure. I’m SO grateful he caught it. The ophthalmologist said that if he hadn’t caught it when he did I could have lost my vision. The staff is very responsive and was helpful with the referral. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Coen and the team to anyone. Don’t wait to get your eyes checked!
