i came here as a black man, and i have never felt more uncomfortable or unwanted at a eye doctor. i scheduled an appointment well in advanced, and some white people showed up unexpected (they were there when i walked in). they were addressed before me and my appointment was rushed to meet their needs. i thought it may have been a busy day. when i came back to get my glasses fitted, even tho it wasn't as busy, it was the same exact experience. it was like an alien walked in the store and they wanted me gone as soon as possible. needless to say, my glasses fitting didn't go so well, as it was so rushed. it's now been 2 years. due to this experience, i have *hated* my glasses. refused to even wear them. unfortunately, my old pair has really really worn out - and i paid so much for these, they are actually nice glasses. i would not recommend this establishment to anyone with a conscious, a good heart, or a decent natured person *unless* they are under new management or ownership. this has been the years long affect of this undeniably racist experience - i have never experienced anything quite like it in the 18+ years i have needed prescriptive eyewear.

Love this place. Everyone is super helpful and caring. I feel like my concerns are always addressed by the doc. They also have the best selection of frames if you’re looking for something with personality! I can’t recommend them enough.

Accommodating, diverse & friendly: I only wish I discovered this place sooner. First, Caitlin & team are welcoming and friendly. Second, the optometrist is smart, patient and personable. Third, they have a diverse array of glasses. Shout out to Etnia Barcelona! Lastly, I mentioned accommodating because I was moving out of state and they worked to get me fitted with eye glasses which arrived before I moved. They worked with me on 2 visits to get fitted in the correct contacts and shipped them to me ASAP. Highly recommend!
