Its important I provide helpful information regarding Eyemart Express for others who may be considering getting glasses from them.
The staff and management were kind and helpful during my visit. However, it's important for customers to be aware of the options available to them when it comes to protective features like anti-reflective coatings and blue light blocking.
It was not mentioned to me prior to purchasing anti-reflective coatings and blue light blocking that my glasses would be sent out to Texas for a few weeks. This defeats the purpose of a company that focuses on same day turnaround.
If you opt for generic glass lenses with blue light protection but without anti-reflective coating, you can get your glasses within a few hours or the next business day. However, if you want to add anti-reflective coating as well, your glasses will need to be sent out and may take 2-4 weeks to return.
This information can be helpful for customers who may be in a hurry to receive their glasses or who want to make an informed decision about the features they want on their glasses.

Had my eye exam done, and Jackie right away assisted me with finding glasses that I love! She was amazing, and explained everything to me that I was either curious or nervous about as I was a little loss on what my insurance covered. 😅 The only downside was that I wasn’t able to get one of the coatings done because it would take a few days, but even so Jackie actually recommended I buy the protection plan so that I could still have the option open to get the coating done. :)

Doctor at this location is awful, rushed, and on autopilot.
Usually, when I go to the eye doctor they take some time to ask me what's going on with my vision and what I do for a living. I was so rushed during this appointment and given my first progressive lens prescription without any explanation. If the doctor had taken the time to talk to me, he would have discovered I am a programmer and spend 8 hours a day in front of a computer and that progressive lenses do not work well for this purpose. I trusted the doctor and did not know this until I actually spent $400+ on a pair of glasses and tried to find the specific angle I had to tilt my head to see mid-range where my computer monitor sits. I was having trouble and gave it some time for my eyes to adjust, with no improvement. Only to do some reading and find out that progressives are not always best for people who spend the day in front of their computers or that a specific pair of progressives where the midrange is the larger portion is necessary.
Progressive lenses are not cheap, and I was already overwhelmed at spending nearly 3x more on glasses than I had previously. If the doctor had taken any time at all to ask me any questions or explain how progressive lenses work, I might not be stuck forking out another $400+ for a second pair.
