I cannot say enough great things about Eyes On Sunrise! I desperately needed an updated eye exam and new glasses and from the moment I stepped into Eyes On Sunrise, everyone in the office was friendly, attentive, and willing to help. Their office has been recently and beautifully renovated, and they offer a large selection of frames including designer options too! They also accept insurance. Aside from their amazing office staff, Dr. Leslie Draper is very kind and knowledgeable, she made my eye exam quick and enjoyable! I was able to pick up my new glasses within a week!

Pros: Great optometrist and selection of glasses. Fast eye exam and accurate prescription. Areas for improvement: the front staff can be more professional with the simple things, like calling when they say they'll call, emailing when they say they'll email. I was told glasses would be ready in a week, and it's taking considerably longer than that. I was not handed an itemized receipt at the time of purchase. The printed prescription has the signature stamped in the wrong place. I was very nice and easy going, one of the easiest customers you could ask for. Can I please at least get the courtesy of a follow-up call that takes only a minute? Can I ask for the same kindness and respect I gave to you? --- Updated review 11/22/2023: (updated rating from 3 to 4 stars, trying to be extremely nice, but also fair) * Several areas of improvement were improved after they heard me loud and clear. Communication improved and I appreciate them trying to make a technically challenging order work. (Disclaimer: I have a strong prescription, so the reader may wish to take my review with a grain of salt...I'm not a candidate for curved sunglasses). * I appreciate them honoring a refund for the sunglasses order they had trouble fulfilling * Overall: I would use this place again for the eye exam and glasses that they can cut in-house, because they have full control over that and Marcus is excellent at that. I probably would not consider ordering glasses that they have to ship to the lab because their lab failed them and us in several ways: 1) the lab didn't do a good job knowing their own capabilities, 2) they kept misjudging the ETA because they misjudged the complexity of the job, 3) they kept the optician on hold for 30 minutes, and they should have realized how important of a client he is to them, to not keep him waiting. Again, I understand it was my strong prescription that was the real issue, and I did preface that before I ordered the glasses that I was never a candidate for curved lenses. But we (optician and I) both thought that technology has come a long way and that maybe it would be possible. But the lab should have known the difficulty and should have communicated that. This whole ordeal and frustration could have been avoided altogether if the lab just turned us away. Many other customers would probably love the sunglasses here. * If this place understands they already have products and services that people want, the brands pretty much sell themselves. There shouldn't be as much of a need to use sales tactics because the products and prices are already competitive. Spend more time closing, less time selling, it'll make life better for everyone involved..

Bad admin staff and poor to nonexistent follow up and communication. I went in for my initial visit and the doctor was very nice and friendly and even spent some extra time with me. My prescription has changed and I needed to trial some lenses. I left the appointment very confident in the doctor, but unfortunately the trial lenses didn’t work well for me and following up has been very difficult. Dealing with the staff and office post visit has not gone well and trying to contact the doctor for a follow up has been extremely difficult. I’ve placed 5 phone calls since my first visit and stopped by two times in person. The staff often gets confused on the phone when I’m talking to them and doesn’t seem to understand or fully care about my issues. I haven’t been able to speak to the doctor again -for even 5 minutes- despite asking more than five times to speak with him and explaining I can not see very well with the prescription I have. I’ve even offered to make another appointment or pay extra. I’ve had to call my insurance company and explain my prescription isn’t working well and they’ve given me authorization to get a second eye exam at a different office. I’ve really tried very hard to get in touch and follow up with the doctor and have not been able to. I’m hoping someone in this office will see my feedback and take things more seriously when a patient calls and is having problems. I’m also leaving this review because these reviews were one of the reasons I chose this office and I wanted to add my feedback here for others to be aware of.
