FIRST and LAST time coming here. I was out of contacts and my glasses were broken but my insurance was switched so I couldn’t go to my usual eye doctor which is where I’ve been going for YEARS and this is the only place I called who took my insurance and could get me in quickly. The wait was LONG there were FLIES flying around. Every time you finish one part of the appointment they sit you back in the waiting room, so I was put in the waiting room 3 or 4 times throughout the whole appointment. After picking out my glasses I was told they’d take 3-4 weeks so I asked if I could get a trial pair of contacts until they come in because I don’t have contacts or glasses (which is what my regular eye doctor would do) and they said not unless I pay $120 and order contacts! Then the lady said let me go see if we have your prescription for your glasses in the back, she came back and said we do have your prescription in the back but you would have to pay $20 to get them

My kids and I have been coming here for a few years now and we love the staff and the service at The Family Eye Clinic in Lafayette. Very special shout out to Mrs. Felicia for being very helpful and making choosing the right frames for us every time!

Horrible experience. Waiting an hour and a half before seeing the doctor. All they do is move you from room to room and if you child is autistic; do not come here! Staff is impatient and won't try anything other then one thing. When we finally got moved to the exam room to wait on the doctor (wich we waited 30 minutes for the doctor) they had left the previous patients information up on the computer. While doctor was nice she only spent 5 minutes with us. An hour and a half wait for nothing.

This clinic is amazing!!! Friendly people and great with scheduling everyone in your family for the same day!! Thanks Felicia for helping us with getting our glasses ready!!

Waited little to no time to be seen, very quick with appointments and the staff is very friendly, Felicia was very helpful and nice, helped me pick out my glasses that best suits me. Will be back everytime!!

The staff here is amazing! Im very happy with my contacts and my glasses. The selection of glasses was surprisingly good compared to other eye doctors offices. And I was able to get my glasses over the weekend!

As a single dad with a daughter I really appreciate the front staff they make her feel very comfortable and not just like another patient they speak to her smile and wave when we walk in the door

I am happy with this eye clinic. I wear my I can't see with out my glasses and the lens fell out while wearing them.. I was told it was the framing itself somehow got broke. I brought it back in and they changed it out real quick and I made my youngest son a doctor's appointment..

I will not be back. My appointment was at 8:50am, i showed up at 8:38am and i wasn't called in the back until closer to 9:30am and i didn't leave the place until 10:15am. I have NEVER been at a eye exam any more than 30 minutes AT MOST, at another place i use. They are also high prices for contact exams, i only paid it because i was already there and didn't want to have wasted all that time sitting there just to find somewhere else to go at a later date. The staff was mostly friendly and the doctors are nice but just really not worth the time or the money in my opinion. I have gotten faster service and better prices at a different place many times before but they unfortunately didn't have any openings so that's why i found this place. They also did 3 types of drops in my eye for "dilation" and they let me leave with my vision still blurry and told me "it takes about 3 hours for vision to improve" THANKFULLY my work was only 7 minutes away otherwise i would have been screwed. When asked for the shades i was told "we don't have any". I've gotten my eye dilated many times and i have never had the effects last any longer than an hour at most. When questioned about the drops, i was just told "it will make your eyes feel heavy and numb" "it's for dilation" . Communication and helping me understand what was happening is very terrible. I just HAD to get back to work, bad enough it took longer than it should have. I also paid for this contact exam/fit and did not get fitted for them. Instead i just got handed the contacts to try at home and was told to pay at the counter and have a great day. Like what?!?!?! DO BETTER PLEASE.

ALWAYS a very long wait. This time I Made a 8am appointment to get in and out quickly. I figured we would be first, so no wait, right? Wrong! Still took 2 hours. Was told doctor usually comes late on Wednesday. Good to know….AFTER we already were 1-1/2 hours into the appointment. 🙄 Staff is nice, but plan on spending HOURS here. …

this is horrible been calling this place to fax me my eye prescription for over 3 weeks and its always they have to talk to someone and they will call back NEVER DOES the office manager lied and said it was faxed and NEVER was like this is ridicilous all behind a 2-3min fax SMH

You never get the office, you always get a call center. When you say that you will get a call back don't bother waiting. You are better off just showing up at the office to get the answers that you need. I went for issues with my eye and they couldn't be bothered to help me get the medication that I was to supposed to get weeks ago. When i finally had enough I made the phone calls and got the whole thing situated. To which they called me once they get some paperwork from wal-greens and told me "Oh we guess you did it yourself" ummmm.. it's been weeks and you haven't done your job. There's a reason for all the 1 star reviews. Don't bother.

I was worried to come here when my doctor referred me because I was having vision problems. There were many negative reviews on here. They got me an appointment same day and the staff was extremely friendly. Loved the doctor. Would highly recommend.
