At first, everything was fine. I had a prescription for glasses and brought it to the optical department to order glasses. The gentleman who helped me was friendly and said the frames looked good when he put them on to measure my pupils. Once they glasses were finished, I went in to pick them up and could immediately tell something was not right. I told the tech that everything seemed rounded and my depth perception was off. I stated that I wouldn't feel comfortable driving in these. She said to just take them home and see if it gets better. After getting home and wearing them for about 20 minutes I had run into multiple counters due to the depth perception and had a raging headache. I called the next day and stated that these would not work. After speaking to the women in the optical department, I was told that it was due to the frames I had brought in and that they were too big. I asked if these lenses were the highest index like discussed when ordering. She repeatedly just said yes, they are high index without verifying what index until I named the different levels to her. At that point, she confirmed they were not the highest because sometimes that can make things blurry. I reiterated that I can not use these glasses. She again stated it was because of the frames I brought in. She said I could come in and order new frames from them, and they could order new glasses. I asked if I was going to have to pay all over again, and she said yes. At this point, I'm frustrated and asked if there was really nothing they could do. She stated that she didn't know what else I wanted from them but new glasses that I had to pay for again was my only option. Fast forward 6 months and I have found an amazing eye doctor. (Pearson Eye Care of Arrowhead) The optical department has worked with me to get glasses I can use and have been absolutely amazing. Below are the pictures of what family eye care of Glendale (clear frames) gave me and what I got from pearson(dark frames) Please tell me how these lenses are so drastically different? A lot of money spent here for useless glasses!

I was abruptly turned away by an extremely rude tech to look at there glasses to purchase with my prescription. In an abrasive tone I was told that I need an appointment and we have been doing it that way for four years as if I was suppose to know that. I said there is no where on the website that states I need an appointment to just look at glasses. I have been to other facilities like this one and none of those required an appointment. Either way that would be fine but how the worker treated me was completely unacceptable. As an ICU nurse I consider all patients to be important and should never be talked down to or disrespected.

I keep trying to give them a chance but they are just no good. Their service is terrible. don’t call yourselves “Family Eyecare” if you will not accept new family members. Called to schedule my 5 year old daughter for her first exam, and they stated they couldn’t take her because she would be a new patient. My husband, son and I are all existing customers. It makes no sense for me to take her to a separate place. But they don’t care about the customers perspective, they just like to be difficult. Worst place. Unfortunately I’ve had issues with them before, this isn’t the first time. I’ve been going there for a while (years) and continued to try to give them a chance but they always disappoint.I wouldn’t recommend
