Florida eye clinic staff are professional and kind. They deal with the patients with respect and dignity they explain themselves correctly. Location is always clean. Doctors are very knowledgeable and well spoken. I've been going to this clinic for more than 8 years and I've never had a problem with them. And I've never had a problem making an appointment or changing an appointment

OFFICE STAFF IS INCOMPETENT STAY AWAY!!! I'm sure Dr. Parks is a wonderful doctor, but sadly I'll never know. I was not able to get past his office staff. I had an appointment today at 2:40. I arrived at 2:32 and at 2:45 the receptionist called me to the desk and told me that my referral had expired. I asked why they didn't call my primary doctor to get a current referral, she told me that I was a new patient and that wasn't their job, although they had all my information from the referral from my primary and knew that I was coming in for an appointment since last Friday when they called to confirm. She gave me their fax number and told me to call my primary and have them fax a new referral, so I called them and waited. Finally at 3:02 she called me back to the desk and said I have good news and bad news, like this is some kind of a joke, she said they sent the referral but didn't send an authorization, and I asked, why didn't you tell me you needed an authorization, leading me to believe that the authorization had to come from the insurance company, when in fact it would have been provided by my primary. Of course not telling me earlier that they needed a new referral AND new authorization. This is why I asked why they didn't do it, I don't know the terminology or the procedures or what exactly they needed, this woman knew she needed a new referral and new authorization and did absolutely nothing to help me, she could have cared less. Even before she called me to the desk , she could have made a quick call to my primary to get the new referral and authorization. She then proceeds to tell me, well it's 15 minutes past your appointment so we need to reschedule, instead of saying, let me call your primary and get this straightened out, which is what she should have done in the first place, and help you with your failing eyesight. I said this is not my fault I did nothing wrong, why can't the doctor see me, and please note, a doctors visit is anywhere from 1 hour to 2 hours depending on the type exam you are given, so I don't understand why time was an issue. I left and called my primary about the authorization and they told me that they did send a referral and authorization, so I went back in to confront her and she just sat there with nothing to say. This woman knew at 2:45 when she spoke to me originally that they were going to cancel my appointment and reschedule, for what reason I don't know, maybe they were behind schedule, or they didn't want to do an exam so late , or maybe she missed the expired referral and didn't want to get in trouble , I really don't know. I can't understand why they would turn away a patient in need, over a something so trivial, especially when it can be cleared up with a simple 2 minute phone call. She should be ashamed of herself. Now I need to start all over again looking for a new Eye Doctor.

I’ve been a patient of the Florida Eye Clinic for several years. All the technicians and the girls at the front desk are truly professional and wonderful to deal with. Dr. Parks is great. He takes very good care of my Baby blues.
