I am biased. Upfront, Dr. Remington saved my vision. Both eyes. After I was diagnosed, he cleared schedules to get me into surgery, he made certain I was prepared, and I came through the procedure with excellent results. His follow-up visits are always personable, timely, and exhibit both a well-managed and happy staff working in sync.
You will find the entire building and personnel are genuinely on a mission to improve and maintain your eye health, as well as general well-being. A good tell on how well their business is regarded is the number of longtime employees staffing the numerous functions required for a large vision clientele. Since I'm a talker, I discovered most of his patients are longtime faithful and as grateful as me.
I don't mean to go off tangent... however, I recently had another 'opportunity' to be seen by another eye medical office. My appointment time came and went. I sat in a waiting room an hour after my vitals were recorded. Eventually they took vitals, then I got instructions to wait. I kept checking every 20 minutes to see if I was in que, but after two hours at that 'medical' '''service''', they had LOST me.
Not being ungrateful, I was still listening to some good music, and got a couple of people to get up and dance.. but.. we still were being ignored. My exam was thorough, and the music was a 9.6 on a scale of 10. But. I can dance other places. I went there to get a mandated evaluation. I'd give my dancing a 7. Their service a 2.
Total office visit time: FOUR HOURS 45 MINUTES, and I was sent out at sunset with dilated eyes, no way able to drive, and not amused.
On the 'bright side' I have a great car stereo and good battery capacity. Seemed to me, a patient 'released in the wild after dilation ;') and incapacitated for lack of vision' might have been 'a health concern'.
OTH, Dr. Remington has ensured I had drivers before and after my surgery. He spoke with me after, and made certain I was recovered and fully capacitated before being released.. and this is a BIG one: I was provided my meds and follow-up directions, next appointment, and ensured my DRIVER was fully informed as to those meds, follow-up appointment, and the contact if any issue might arise.
Now: that's a pretty high bar. It gets better. At a later date, I was chosen to be the designated driver for another patient of Dr. Remington. She got the same exquisite care, and I got the through debriefing and her care instructions. She phoned me the next day and had already received a follow-up call from Dr. Remington.
And see? I thought I was special...

BRIAN CHRISTENSEN IS THE BEST! I’ve had him for 12 years and he’s never made a mistake. That’s because he’s extremely thorough. He listens to your feedback. Today he corrected the prescription that a different physician (Chavez) of theirs did just three weeks ago.
I choose him because:
1.) When we we’re flipping through the different lenses during the exam to see how much power to add and he says 1 or 2 and I say I’m not sure if lens one or lens two is better and he just instinctively knows which one to pick for me if I can’t make up my mind.
2.) He took my less than week old new eyeglasses back and made some marks on them and had me put them back on & he did a little eye test of telling me to look at his eyes where his finger was and he told me that my right eye was spot on, but my left eye was off and little bit wide, but still within the tolerance circle. So I went back to LensCrafters and they determined my left eye was .5 mm off. Let me tell you that is pretty damn AMAZING that Christensen with his own naked eye could see that my eye alignment to my brand new glasses was that much off center. I LOVE HOW HE TOOK THE TIME TO CHECK MY NEW THOUSAND DOLLAR LENSES TO MAKE SURE THEY WERE THE PERFECT FIT FOR ME!
3.) ALSO-he increased my regular prescription power in my right eye just a little bit so that in his words, I won’t have to look down as far into the reading portion of my glasses since I’m just beginning to learn to use reading portion and that by putting a little bit of reading power in the intermediary vision range of my new progressive lenses from Varilux will make this possible! This NOT something Chavez would’ve thought to do. But Christian and did because he’s had so many years of experience working with children adults and seniors.
4.) He listened to me when I said it’s still seems fuzzy a bit at distances. He took a closer look by re-doing my entire prescription and found that my astigmatism in my left eye had increased so he increased my reading power overall because of that by .25 (Chavez ignored my concern and said it didn’t need it yet.)
5.) He also increased the overall prescription in my left eye by 1 point.
Dr. Chavez originally did my prescription this year because Christensen was fully booked. I had to go back because he didn’t give me a strong enough prescription. I ordered my brand new pair of glasses two days after I saw Chavez and I got them within nine days of seeing Chavez and I could tell that it wasn’t strong enough and something was off. Chavez says that my eyes may have changed in that nine days, but I know that’s not the case.
Chavez did not allow me to see through the lenses in the metal device at the very end of doing my prescription check so I could see what my new pair of glasses would look like. That was probably the biggest mistake on Chavez’s part because if he had done that, then I would’ve been able to tell him immediately my prescription needs to be strong stronger, instead of me doing a second 5 hours round trip. but he did not do that and Christensen always does that final step to make sure it’s going to work for me.
I ended up getting to speak to Chavez for a few minutes when I went downstairs to pick up my contact lens trials. I gave him my feedback about all the things Christensen found that he had missed. He was more or less dismissive, and he said my eyes changed in the three weeks from when I saw him and The know that’s not true.
Christensen has been doing this so many more years than him, more life experience to know how to be completely thorough.
In the end, Christensen had to bump my left eye up by 1 from what Chavez did 3 weeks ago for a total of two points from last year and he also had to raise my reading power by a quarter and then you have to turn down the astigmatism in my right eye a little bit so three decent changes that impact my vision that Chavez completely missed !!!!
I MAY NOT LIVE IN FRESNO ANYMORE AND I LIVE 2 1/2 HOURS AWAY, BUT I WILL FOREVER BE WILLING TO COME HERE FOR AS LONG AS CHRISTENSEN IS STILL WORKING!

I have going to Eye Care for many years and the staff there are fantastic. I had an appt today and the waiting room look very busy and I thought I would have a long waiting time. I think I waited like 5 mins from the time I went to the front desk to discuss today's fee etc. till the time they called my name to start the check up. It went rather quickly. The waiting time was very short when you transition to the exam rooms. By the time I got out the waiting room was a ghost town. I think I was the there maybe about an hour? I met with Dr. Christensen for the first time and I really liked him. When I usually go I go with whoever they set me up with but, now I think I'm going to request him. I really liked his personality. Very laid back and I felt very comfortable with him. Taking the time to talk to me.

My mother has Alzheimer's and is not great about volunteering information or even answering questions sometimes. Every single person here has been remarkable with her. Everyone is so patient and understanding and really seems to go out of their way to make her feel comfortable and at ease. Even though she can't answer many of the questions, she is never ignored in favor of me, who can answer. The care is excellent! They are great at explaining everything and making sure we do truly understand! Everyone is very professional without losing their care and consideration of all patients. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Dr. Fogg was incredibly kind, thorough, and reassuring during my visit. He took the time to really listen to my symptoms and explained everything in a calm, thoughtful way that made me feel much less anxious. He carefully examined my eyes, discussed possible causes for what I was experiencing, and gave practical recommendations to help.
What stood out most to me was how much he genuinely cared about me as a person, not just as a patient. He took the time to talk with me about my career in education, the stress that can come with teaching, and how important it is to take care of myself while caring for my students every day. He also shared a great story about a teacher that inspired him. That personal connection and compassion meant a lot to me and made me feel truly seen and supported.
I also appreciated that he didn’t dismiss my concerns. He balanced reassurance with caution and explained when additional medical evaluation might be necessary if symptoms continued. It’s rare to find a doctor who is both knowledgeable and genuinely compassionate. I left feeling heard, informed, and cared for. Highly recommend Dr. Fogg!

She was knowledgeable and quick to take care of my needs and concerns regarding my contact. She went out of her way to help get information for me that was not in her department. She was and is an awesome gal. Koodos to her . She needs a raise. Thank you Serena again for all you do. Thank you to dr remington for all he does. We'll appreciated. I highly recommend dr and staff.

4.5 stars.
I very highly recommend Dr. Chavez (1st floor). He (as well as his assistant
Seth) is very cordial, professional, informative, and an excellent listener who provides superior expertise, care and follow-up instructions. I took off .5 stars only due to the 30 minute wait for an 8:30am appointment. I think this is an excessive wait for an early morning appointment. If there was a preceding emergency or complicated patient issue that arose, I feel it’s best to notify all the people in the waiting room. This enables us to manage our expectations instead of just getting irritated at being kept waiting for unknown reasons. Other than this, I highly recommend Fogg Remington.

I had my first eye appointment today. I had no predetermined ideas of what would happen. I did have some concerns regarding a recent onset of symptoms. I waited for 5-10 minutes in the waiting room after which a young MA took me into a clinic room, and reviewed my past history, medications, etc and thoroughly asked me questions about the reason for my visit and my symptoms. She was very detailed. She did a visual acuity test, and then took pictures of my retina. I then waited for about 5-10 minutes before I was placed into an exam room where Dr. Fogg examined me. The whole process moved along very smoothly. I was amazed at how efficient everyone worked. Dr. Fogg did an exam and then explained to me why I was experiencing my symptoms and what I could expect in the future as well as treatment options. I was very impressed.

I’ve been under optical care of Drs. Fogg for about 50 years. My last visit was with Optometrist Dr. Thai. She was very thorough. I’ve had a new problem for the past 10 years and she is the first person to take the time to find the problem and prescribe a correct prescription to correct the problem. Plus referred me to a different eye surgeon for a second surgery to remove a cyst on my eyelid. I am very impressed with the thoroughness of her patient care. She has immediately won my confidence.
