Fredric Ian Eyewear is a boutique optical and optometrist office in downtown Boulder. The practice provides eye examinations, glasses prescriptions, and eyewear. Dr. Jennifer Carr tests for glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, and other eye diseases, and offers Optomap Retinal Exam imaging.
The practice has served Boulder since 1978 and is locally owned. Dr. Carr graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry in 1999 and trained at a VA hospital in Portland, Oregon, and The Omni Eye Specialists in Denver. She is a solo practitioner.

I have been coming to see Dr. Carr for about 6 years now. She has been the best optometrist I have found, as a provider and as a caring person. She and her staff have always been friendly, knowledgeable, incredibly helpful, and always respectful. Thank you!

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Carr and her staff. I didn't know how great that a pair of "computer" glasses (for use when using the computer/laptop) would be. I love them! Dr. Carr suggested using a frame that I already owned which was nice. And her frame selection is really great. Highly recommend!!

Great service. I had lost a contact sample they’d offered at my annual visit. I went back in three months later and they kindly ordered me another set to try. Friendly the entire time. Great selection of glasses too.
