I had my first visit here as a new patient. It was one of the most thorough eye exams I have ever had. The tech doing the testing and the exam by Dr.Oberreiter was great! Glad I came here!

I recently had LASIK performed at the Bloomington location. My prescription was nearing legal blindness and I was apprehensive but very interested in the idea that I could wake up and see without effort after spending so many years in contacts. Lexi helped to guide me through my questions and steps associated with the procedure and process. This office has a great online footprint and you can watch videos about the procedure and get to know some of the staff prior to making a commitment. I am now 3 months out and LASIK was the best health decision I've made! Highly recommend this place, their staff, Lexi, Dr A and Dr O (Springfield location)!

I saw Dr. Oberreiter a few times (maybe five?) to try and address eye irritation. The staff and doctor were nice, but ultimately none of the prescribed medications worked and I felt I my concerns weren’t being listened to. Several times I was told it was allergies, despite it being winter, having no history of allergies, and no response to allergy medication. The doctor just kept prescribing me allergy medicine of different degrees of strength to no success. I was just in pain for months and told I was wrong to think there might be other causes. I ended up taking steroid eye drops for months, which is really not good for your eyes at all and didn’t help in the long term. The doctor was just kind of giving me a bandaid to the problem and didn’t want to address what might be causing it. Medical problems are hard to figure out, so I don’t really fault them for not instantly solving my problems. It’s just that I wasn’t really listened to and the doctor pushed back hard against exploring other potential causes.
