Terrible and discriminatory service, a week ago I made an appointment today, Saturday, April 13, for my glasses at Annapolis Town Center with my ayes dr. It turned into a disaster, I speak Spanish and I asked them to call a translation company for my appointment With the doctor, everything was clear for my appointment, I arrived and they did not want to put someone who spoke Spanish, the doctor did not understand what he did and many times I asked them if I could return with someone who spoke Spanish, and they did not accept, and they charged me more From what they told me about my insurance, now I don't know if the exam is correct, why I never understood, I have my health insurance that covers many interpreter companies in Spanish, they simply didn't want to, I will never return, postscript . I am using a translator to write this.

I came in with eyeglass frames that were in need of repair. The young man behind the desk greeted me warmly, and I was referred to a young lady named Merlin who took care of my frames. After inspecting them she told me that there was a piece where the screw holds the lenses in place that was stripped. She then told me she would have to insert a larger screw to fix the problem and that I may not be able to put new lenses in the frame going forward. I told her no problem and to complete the repair, which she did expertly, courteously, and with a bright smile on her face. What I didn't tell her, was that I had just come from Lens Crafters in the Annapolis Mall, where I originally purchased the glasses, and who had a similar diagnosis but told me they could not be fixed and I would need to buy new glasses. Epic fail on their part and a rousing success for Merlin and My Eye Dr. I told her this story, gave her a high five and was happily on my way with eye glasses that were perfect! Oh, did I mention they did not even charge me! My wife wears contacts and needs reading glasses, and guess who is getting all of our business going forward. Thank you Merlin and My Eye Dr for the type of courteous and expert customer service so sorely missing in today's business environment.

I’ve been seeing Dr Shields at MyEyeDoctor in Annapolis Town Center for close to 10 years. He is always approachable and good humored while he conducts a very thorough eye exam. He will take the time to discuss any vision concerns. It’s very easy to get a recheck once your glasses are in and a couple times, when my glasses were not perfect, it was easy to get a reorder. There are a usually couple other doctors available, which allows more patients to be seen and gives personality options. However, I appreciate having continuity of care with my medical professionals and always book my exams with Dr Shields but have been seen by his colleagues from time to time, and it’s always a reassuring, professional visit. The support staff are also very professional and friendly. Although Patty left the practice, the other women are just as knowledgeable. The location is well organized, clean and cheerful. The selection of frames is very good, albeit some are rather expensive. The staff will help you find a good looking frame that complements your face and fits your budget and plan. It is so easy to have a great experience at this MyEyeDoctor. I’m so glad a Groupon brought me here years ago when I was between insurance coverage. It’s a plus they are well versed in insurance plan coverage and have actually helped me compare coverage options during a job transfer so I got the best insurance for my needs (the one that covered the most cost!)

Amazing! Incredible! And the 30 year love of my life:) BUT seriously, Dr Shields has people Fly in from all over the country to see him and only him. He is intuitive, caring, an exceptional communicator and his clinician skills in terms of diagnosing problems small and large are exceptional. He has saved may lives with his diagnostic skills and takes the time to really problem solve...I mean, in short. We are lucky to have him!

Excellent and professional, trustworthy. Our entire family is seen by Dr Shields. Highly recommended, he has been great helping my wife who needs special attention in her prescription including prisms.
