Georgia Center for Sight is an eye care practice in Athens. It provides routine eye exams and surgical care including no-needle, no-stitch cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, LASIK, oculoplastics, strabismus surgery, dry eye treatment with LipiFlow, and care for macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease.

Dr. Jing Dong founded the practice in 2001 and serves as owner and president. Dr. Thomas A. Berk is fellowship-trained in cataract and glaucoma surgery and board-certified in the US and Canada. Dr. Quinten Tuckfield is a board-eligible ophthalmologist. The on-campus American Eye Surgery Center adjoins the Athens clinic.

The staff members were very pleasant, efficient, and thorough. The initial visit does take a long time but I understand why and appreciate the attention to detail so that you leave with very few, if any, questions. Their process made me feel confident about my upcoming procedures!

I have used Georgia Center for Sight for about 5 years. They are very professional and will help in anyway possible. I had cataract surgery a year ago. Have been very satisfied. I highly recommend them!!

Simply an excellent MD. Showed so much concern for my general health and that my eyes hadn’t been damaged after a febrile episode (concerning because of infection from an abdominal surgery) and even made sure that I had antibiotics for the abdominal surgical infection. Cares so much that you won’t loose your eyesight. Excellent ophthalmologist, and also very caring doctor and person. Highly recommend - best eye doctor in town.
