Dr. Slean helped me get my eye pressure under control and explained how important it is to use my eye drops as prescribed. She is very knowledgeable and caring. This review is for my husband Barry L. Atkinson.

I came in for a dilation and nerve scan. The first thing that was done was a nerve scan without dilation. This was followed by dilation. I asked Dr. Slean why a scan was done without dilation. She said, “No worries, we’ll do another one after dilation.” She then mischaracterized this interaction in the AVS, in which she said that I asked “why repeat dilated photos are needed when prior undilated photos were obtained and questions the benefit of dilation and repeat imaging.” This isn’t true, as I described above. The reason for repeat dilated photos is clear; the reason for repeat undulated photos is unclear. After the dilated photos were taken and Dr. Slean came back in, she said “Thank you for coming in for these dilated photos. They will be helpful in future comparisons.” She didn’t tell me anything about the photos just taken and simply asked if I had any questions. I said yes and asked what the current photos showed. She took a few minutes on the computer and then said the comparison to dilated photos 2 years earlier showed stable results. Why did I have to ask for the results before she would tell me this? I am not happy with the care I’m getting from Dr. Slean, and I will consider whether to continue seeing her in the future.

Dr. Slean removed a cataract from my right eye and is scheduled to remove the cataract from my left eye. I was somewhat worried about the first surgery, but it was exceptional! My right sees quite clearly with accurate and vivid colors! The procedure was not painful or difficult. It was quick, and I had no problems at all! Dr. Slean is thorough and very helpful. She and her team totally prepared me for this procedure. It gave me complete confidence during the procedure because I knew what they were doing and that cared about the results! I am so happy about the results, I asked to schedule the left eye right away. I’m so thankful to have such an excellent doctor and such a fantastic team supporting her! It’s amazing. They make you feel like you’re a VIP and family with such excellent treatment and care! Thank you!!!!
