This is a bad business in all aspects, they no loyalty to their customers at all. After 6 years of experience with them I regret every penny I spent in this money sucker. I will never be back nor recommend it to any one. They lie to your face and want to charge for minor repair a fortune

Golden Gate has been our our Eye Dr office for 8 years now. Dina and staff are absolutely amazing!!! They have remembered my son and I on a personal level ever since our 1st visit, even though they see us once a year lol Since the 1st time I went to this office, I never again wanted to go somewhere else. They made me feel like I was with some long lost family or friends. The exam is always so quick. My son and I are done in about 20/30 minutes or less, given if we're talking more or not to our Dr back there lol Choosing our glasses afterwards is always such a breeze. They are so helpful with helping us choose what looks best on us and within my range for out of pocket after what my insurance covers. Our glasses and contacts are always such a quick turnaround time for pickup. I love everything about the office and staff!!!

Golden Gate is great they service all needs and make sure you are always satisfied with your purchase. Ms.Dina is the most helpful and welcoming woman ever. I live in the metro Detroit area and I will forever come here whenever I need new glasses or even a simple fix!! Thank you!

If you don’t go to Golden Gate Optical for your eyeglasses, you’re missing out! Not only do they have some of the newest, most up-to-date glasses, but they have such a variety of eyeglasses that you can find something for everyone. Their service is top notch! Superb. Never any surprises here. Prompt explanation of eye exams results. Dina always has made nice recommendations of frame choices that other people have positively noticed on myself. Thank you, it is flattering to a fault. Lens treatment recommendations have also worked well with me. Considering my varied activities, my eyeglasses have served very well. Been going to Golden gate optical for seven years and I couldn’t be happier. The quality is always excellent, and the service is truly outstanding. The staff is incredibly helpful, professional and genuinely kind. They are the nicest , most friendly people, and every visit feels like coming home. The dr preformed a thorough eye exam and took the time to ex everything clearly. I trust them completely and I wouldn’t go somewhere else . Highly recommend

Extremely rude front desk. Supervisor Dina was of no help. My wife went for an eye exam and a few days later had two styes on both her eyes. The machines were dirty and looked unkept. We called back to ask about it and to ask about some insurance stuff. As soon as we brought it up she got extremely defensive, started talking loudly and extremely dismissive. She brought up religion and told my wife to act respectful. No apology, no acknowledgement, and started blaming my wife when she had no issues in the past. She said my wife walked in with red eyes before we started the consult. Dina also had poor behavior with other clients in the store. Save your money go somewhere else where they at least listen to your concerns.

Unfortunately, my experience with Golden Gate Optical Center was disappointing. I asked them to provide me with the details of my prescription glasses and the type of lenses they have been preparing for me every year, even though I have been a customer for over 10 consecutive years. Despite this long history, they refused or failed to provide this information without any clear explanation. I expected more transparency and professionalism, especially toward a long-term customer. Overall, a very frustrating experience. Based on my observations of Dina during my last two visits, I believe she has lost the ability to continue her business due to her unprofessional behavior.

I needed new glasses and was in a hurry to get my eye exam before switching insurance. Dina was able to get me on the schedule quickly, which I really appreciated. The optometrist Dr. Brinker (Dr. Blinker 😉) was very thorough and had an excellent bedside manner, making the entire exam comfortable and easy. I had no idea what style of frames would look best on my face, but Dina took the time to help me choose frames that suited me perfectly. I'm very happy with my new glasses and the excellent service I received. I've definitely found a great place to return to for my yearly eye exams!
