Tuan T Nguyen, OD is caring and very knowledgeable. He was kind enough to open his facility an hour early to give me a thorough examination in order to determine my condition. I was impressed by his ability to clearly explain what each of my tests were meant to achieve. I would highly recommend his services.

My experience at Gresham Eye Care is truly one of the best experiences I could have hoped for, especially given my complicated eye needs. Back in July I was diagnosed with a life-long chronic illness that specifically impacts my ability to see, and after a few months of evaluating the damage done to my optic nerve I was encouraged to see an optometrist for glasses. Upon calling and setting up my first appointment, I asked questions regarding the in-depth nature of their medical history (because I wanted to ensure a pair of glasses would actually solve my problems) and the receptionist, Kevin, was incredibly accommodating. To my surprise, they requested I fax them my hospital medical records so that Dr. Nguyen could read my files before meeting me. And read them he did! When i came in, my 1-inch thick binder was on their counter and the doctor took special care in performing a number of eye exams in order to narrow down the specificities of my vision issues. He was incredibly knowledgeable, and took his time to throughly explain what each test he was looking to perform and why. He taught me so much about how vision works, and what things may or may not have helped. At the end of our visit I got a great pair of glasses that I'm confident will significantly improve my vision. The lenses themselves are even made right here in Portland, and the frames come from another local company that's known to donate a pair of glasses with every frame purchase. I'm incredibly impressed and grateful for such a great practice, and will absolutely be returning. Its very rare to find a clinic so focused on their patients. I can't recommend Dr. Nguyen enough!

I came to Dr. Nguyen's office for the first time around 4 years ago. His and Kevin's pleasant and accommodating demeanor were what hooked me in the beginning, and their helpful and thorough patient care is what has kept me coming back. Dr. Nguyen is wonderful and always patiently takes me step by step through every procedure we are going through. He and Kevin always make sure to explain what would make the most sense cost-wise and with the particular insurance plan I have. I have never had a question left unanswered and always feel like a valued person when I come in. Thank you both for taking care of my eyes!

Best experience I've ever had at an eye clinic. Dr Nguyen is awesome, super friendly. Took the time to answer all of my questions during my exam. He was very professional and upfront about everything start to finish. The gentleman at the front desk was amazing as well. He was super helpful and very engaging. I highly recommend this clinic to everyone!

Great experience start to finish, Kevin and Dr. Nguyen were both exceedingly friendly and went above and beyond to be helpful. Dr. Nguyen was very thorough for my first exam and was able to catch and correct an issue I've had with my vision that my last two optometrists had missed, can't recommend this location more.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Nguyen. He really took his time with me, doing a thorough exam and answering all of my questions. He ended up diagnosing me with a condition that my previous optometrist had completely missed two years in a row. He explained what was going on with my vision and discussed my options in a very clear, kind, and straightforward way.

My family have been going to Gresham Eye Care for about 15 years now. I've never received better customer service or medical care from any other provider - vision or otherwise. Kevin at the front desk is personable and friendly (and tells great jokes!), and Dr. Nguyen makes it obvious that he cares about us and our children. They honestly feel like part of our family. And on top of all that, the care we receive is thorough and comprehensive. I cannot recommend this office highly enough.

I've been to quite a few eye doctors and Dr. Nguyen by far is the best one. He's really caring and takes the time to go through all the process and explaining things clearly. Highly, highly recommend him. The receptionist is another story. I find him quite rude and loves to correct people on how theybshould repsondds and what they should say. But im not there to see him so i just ignore him. He's the main reason I would go somewhere else to get my glasses so i don't have to deal with him.

Dr. Nguyen and his staff are incredibly kind and efficient. You can tell he has a real curiosity about what he practices, which to me, is certainly the mark of a competent professional. Right before I moved out of the state I received a new prescription and ordered some contacts. The new lenses turned out to be defective, and although I was technically no longer his patient, Dr. Nguyen worked quickly with the manufacturer and myself to make sure that this issue was taken care of.
