The good: Receptionist and technician were excellent - friendly and competent. The 1 star is because the most important part of the visit is the doctor. Dr Wood certainly seemed knowledgeable and experienced, but I have never seen any doctor be so rushed and rude during the entire exam. When asking a question about cataracts he interrupted me several times. He talked over me. He seemed irritated that I would ask a question. No way I would want a doctor that rushed to operate on my delicate eyes.

I had a wonderful experience! The person who dilated my eyes, I think her name is Ashley (I am sorry, I am not sure), and did the first preliminary tests was so caring and friendly and started the appointment out with a very pleasant and trusting vibe. She is great!! The doctor, Saidivya Komma, OD, was also wonderful. She was personable and competent. She did a very thorough exam and took the time to explain everything. Even though there are many places closer to my home, I will continue going to Guilford Eye Center because of the treatment I receive. I highly recommend this practice if you are looking for great place to take care of your eyes.

I've been seeing Dr. Thurmond for a few years and I have always had a good experience with him. He takes his time, answers your questions and addresses your concerns, and is very personable. Their techniques and equipment are up-to-date, the facility is beautiful, the front desk ladies are kind and pleasant, and the techs are a dream to work with.
