When you find out someone has a previous name from a name change, you don’t call them by the previous name. I’m not sure how confusing it is to simply call someone by their current name when their ID and forms all list their current name. It’s really not that difficult to use the correct name and pronouns when you find that someone has previous information that’s different. Do better.
