This place has been a great experience every single time I'm here. I was diagnosed with diabetes in December of 2012. I was advised to see an eye doctor once a year. From the moment I first came here, I was welcomed and treated fairly. Needless to say, I still see them. The staff is friendly and always in good moods. The eye doctor, Andrea Harron, is so caring and genuinely a good person. She's always helping me as best as she can, and that is greatly appreciated. When I developed partial glaucoma, she let me know, honestly, and gave me an action plan. I use the drops, and they've helped my eye pressure, just like she said they would. I would recommend this eye center to everyone. It's good for individuals, families, and everyone else. They have a wide range of glasses available that update every year. You can try them on and decide which frames you want, with the little mirrors. They also order your glasses and you pick them up. They call you when they are ready. They also clean your glasses free of charge. Open on Saturdays, which is good for me to have appointments. Conveniently located inside the Walmart shopping center on Lexington Road in Athens, GA. Try them. You won't regret it.
I have been trying to make an appointment for my child since November. Each time they have attempted to verify the insurance I am met with the roadblock that they will not call the insurance company to understand an old insurance that is appearing. Because they will not fully verify the insurance my appointment has been canceled four times. I keep being told that that's not how they verify insurance, it's an automated process. One simple phone call is all I'm asking them to make. I have spoken with my insurance company at least four times and they assure me if the vision provider called they could verify that there is no secondary insurance. However, Harron vision employee refuses to make the phone call. Don't use them if you have any special circumstances. They are robots that can't work outside of automation.
