My experience with them has been a nightmare so far. I went there for an eye glasses prescription which is covered entirely by my insurance and a contact lens fitting that I knew I would have to pay out of pocket. When I called to make an appointment I was told that the price for contact lens fitting is $84. By the time I got to see the doctor the price changed to $108. I verified that the price was $108 total and not $108 on top of the initial price of $84 and doctor confirmed that it was $108 total. It was more expensive that any other place I had called to check prices on Oahu and had I known prior to going that they would raise their price by $24 I wouldn't have gone but since I was already there I paid the extra $24, I did the fitting, received a pair of trial contact lenses and went on my way. Now a week later, I stopped by their office because after I left and got home I read the paper they gave me I realized that my contact prescription was missing only the eye glasses prescription was on the paper. So when I went today to inquire about the contact lens prescription I was told that I will get it when I come back after the lens trial period. And Oh "by the way the way", I am told by the associate, "You still owe us $110". At that point I don't know what is going on and I ask what she's talking about and she said that they mischarged me last time I was there and that I owe another $110 on top of the $108 I already paid. And this is for a contact lens fitting. I challenge anyone to call around and ask for the cost of a contact lens fitting and I guarantee you that it won't be $228 or anywhere close to $200. And when I asked for a refund because I can never afford to pay this much for a contact lens fitting and therefore I will just take a refund instead of my prescription. the associate initially refuses to initiate a refund until i said that I would have to call the police if she doesn't. She then contacted her boss and told me that they initiated the refund and that will take 2 months for me to get it. I was shocked by her response and asked her to write me a note to ensure that they are in fact going to refund me but she refused. I told her that I've never seen a business where a refund takes two months to be refunded to my card and she said that it would not be refunded to my card but sent by check to my mailing address. I insisted that she wrote a letter stating that she will refund but she wouldn't, stating that she is not the company. She called her boss again and after she finished talking with her on the phone she said that they will send me my refund in two weeks. By then of course I was not believing anything she was saying but I recorded everything she said so I figure I can hopefully use that if they do not refund me. After I left, I called my bank and explained the situation and the bank is taking over my case and is going to investigate the transaction. All in all Hawaii Vision Associates (inside Sam's club keeaumoku)did not provide me with my contact lens prescription but charged me $108 for it and then tried to charge me another $110 on top of the $108 I gave them for nothing. (the one star is because google does not let you post unless you give at least one star but Hawaii Vision Associates inside Sam's club on Keeaumoku street in Honolulu is not even worth a single star)

As a contact wearer, I get my yearly exam here. The staff is efficient and friendly, and they always have the lowest prices on contact supplies.
