I would not come back to this place, and I wouldn't let my parents go here either. My experience is 1) They overcharge and Don't Credit 2) Long Waits 3) Pain. 4) Don't educate you (the patient)
Things I noticed that may be helpful to you:
1) They advertise it's Dr Powers' office, but I asked for him, and was not allowed to see him, it's someone else
2) They pay for positive reviews. Have you looked at Yelp? After your appointment, you get a text & email offering a $20 gift card for a positive review by clicking the link. The software only posts the positive reviews
Context: I'm a diabetic and have been getting regular shots in my eyes in Virginia. I was visiting Florida and went to this office to continue getting my same treatment just during my visit to Florida.
1) Overcharge
They require you to pay what they deem your "copay" is up front before your visit. I visited in February.
Office insisted they collect from me: $426.10
Patient responsibility on my EOB: $207.25
As of August, I still do not have my $200+ credit back. Up until June they said my insurance was still processing, now they've acknowledged they owe me but their response is now "oh they haven't fixed it in the system yet".
2) Long Waits
In Virginia, my appointments took 45 mins to 1 hour.
At this office, my appointments lasted 2.5-3.5 hours.
3) Painful:
-In Virginia, they use Betadine as an antibacterial to clean my eye prior to my shot. No irritation or issues
-At this office, they use some other solution which was irritating for 3 days. All their pateints experience this so they also provide you with a prescription to treat the irritation it causes.
4) Don't Educate You
None of the staff explains the tests they are performing or why. When I asked, they said "oh we have to". A simple intro of Who-What-Why (I'm ----, we're going to do ---- test, and that will tell the doctor ----) would be nice.
This has dragged on so long now that I've been keeping a record. Since my appointment:
--I've received 3 wrong bills asking for more money. When I call to inquire they say something along the lines of "oh you shouldn't have received that, I'll let them know, your bill is still pending."
--I've called 8 times
--I've emailed 6 times
This started in February and is still ongoing. I'll keep this updated since this continues to drag on.
8/18/23 - Only way I was able to get this resolved was to call the office and ask for the manager's name, then google that name and find their work email address, and email them directly. This is finally resolved, 6 months after my appointment.

Great doctors you can trust. The staff is great as well. They do a very thorough exam. I’ve been here twice and I’m very satisfied..

My appointment was timely for all 3 tests before the new Dr. Came in to check me.
All personal were polite and pleasant. The person who can use a course on public relations is your receptionist. She never smiles. She appears to complete her work but the first person a patient comes in contact with in the office needs to SHOW FRIENDLINESS.
