I had never needed glasses before, but when I turned 40 I noticed my eyes were getting tired. So I went to an optometrist at one of the big box glasses stores. I was given the standard treatment, and they didn’t get my prescription correct. I went back to the big box store multiple times trying to get my prescription dialed in perfect. Each time I felt more like a helpless burden. I eventually gave up. Then my wife found that Dr Riley at Hellerstein and Brenner was highly recommended in her Moms group, and she booked me an appointment. Dr Riley made me feel like the most important patient in the world. She listened carefully and took lots of extra time to ensure I left with exactly what I needed. Her experience, guidance, and care are unmatched. I can not recommend this practice highly enough. It may take a few weeks to get an appointment, but it is worth the wait.

I had a fantastic experience with H&B, it was super easy to schedule an appointment, the people were extremely nice and comforting, and the doctor presented me with a ton of options to help my eyes. I am looking forward to my next visit with them! I highly recommend checking them out!

1 star for terrible experience and service. Talked to them several times to get clarification for insurance. They said they should be in network and covered by insurance, and I may have to pay a small out of pocket fee. Turns out they actually weren't in my network! Charged me over $250 for the exam! Don't trust what they say and verify for yourself. Lady was also cold and pushy. I said I wanted to wait on filling my prescription. She was kind of mad I didn't want to fill it with them the same day. Won't be back.
