Last week, I had an eye exam performed by Dr. Sanjay Patel. He is a thorough professional. Furthermore, my wife and I were charmed by his radiant personality and affable interaction; he exuded positive energy. When my wife asked him a question about her eye exam, Dr. Sanjay Patel went above and beyond the call of duty by looking into my wife’s record; thereafter, he provided an appropriate response. In the office, Merrick and Letty were also very pleasant. Lulu, at the front desk, cheerfully greeted us and was very pleasant throughout our interactions. Ezbey was very helpful and happily clarified a certain billing issue. She also offered to call my wife after seeking some clarification; she followed up with a phone call to my wife. She is an asset to this office. Kenzi met with my wife and patiently responded to my wife’s question about a prior checkup my wife had. Kenzi was knowledgeable and friendly. My wife and I are glad we chose to come to this office.

On August 7th, as soon as my husband and I walked in, we received a joyful greeting from Juanita at the front desk. We will always remember her for her exuberance as well as the patience, and kindness she demonstrated during her interactions with every patient. With a smile, she helped everyone who seemed to be having issues using the tablet. Juanita was very gracious, not at all condescending or rude. Rani, the ophthalmic medical assistant, was reserved and performed all the checkups. Ezbey was friendly and interacted with me lightheartedly while maintaining professional decorum. Above all, the awesome Dr. Joshua Heczko listened attentively and patiently to my concerns about my eyes. He exuded compassion and gave me his professional opinion with utmost confidence. Overall, I had a pleasant experience in this office and will be returning soon for my husband’s eye exam.

McKinney, Texas clinic: I had cataracts removed and new lens implants. I gave them a three rating because the staff was friendly, and the surgery went (mostly) well. Here's where everything went wrong: the billing was an absolute mess! First, they charged the wrong credit card, and then additional costs started coming in. The billing contact (woman) was rude and had zero communication skills. When we would call to set up a payment plan and resolve mistakes, no one EVER answered the phone. Calls always went to voicemail, and we wouldn't hear back for weeks. Also, in the middle of my recovery period, they decided to drop our insurance company, so follow-up appointments went from $0 out-of-pocket to $300!! They should have been included!! I had to rush to find a new in-network eye doctor to monitor my healing process. EYESIGHT CARE IS CRITICAL!! This is very expensive eye surgery, and insurance doesn't cover most of the cost. Make sure you understand the additional costs before you proceed. They add up! And again, their billing department is a joke! The estimate was $9,500. The actual out-of-pocket cost was about $15,000.

The staff & doctors are the best! The facility is very well organized. Everyone treats the patient with care & concern. I’ve had several treatments at Heritage, plus cataract surgery in both eyes. Dr. Patel is so highly skilled, and it’s very obvious the staff greatly respect him. All staff, techs,…are the best at their skills, which puts the patient in a more calm& relaxed state. I definitely recommend Heritage Eye Center to anyone!

i was seen about 5 minutes after I arrived. I have been a Heritage Eye Center patient for 10 years. The staff was very friendly and professional. After my exam the results were explained to me in a professional manner. I will continue to be a Heritage Eye Center patient.
