This was by far the worse experience at this location. I’ve been to Herslof at another location and needless to say, the employees usually have nasty attitudes. I went in on July 31st with my son and my frames to add prescription. It was $10 for my sons frames (using his insurance) and mine were $100. I wanted to add a coating to my lens so I went in the next day and paid another $100 (according to the manager-Shannon) it didn’t seem right to me. I explained I was supposed to pay an extra $45 not $100. She made me feel like I’m stupid and didn’t know what I was talking about. I even showed her my receipt from my first transaction and she wasn’t getting it. I left. I got a call from her stating there was a hold on my insurance. I called my insurance right away and got it taken care of and called her back to let her know. She assured me that she will have my frames sent out. I even called 2 days later to make sure she sent out my frames and she said she did. 2 1/2 weeks went by and I called to get an update, whoever answered had the nastiest attitude and said “if we didn’t call you, they’re not in”. I called a little over 3 weeks later and the lady who answered said she noticed my frames had been on hold. I was extremely livid. I was told Shannon will give me a call but never did so I called around 11am today and the excuse that was given was “we tried contacting you and left a voicemail because we couldn’t verify your insurance” (They checked my insurance the very first day I came in before they even considered taking a payment, she said she sent out my frames and how did she know I had a “hold” on my insurance? But says this?!). I had no problem with receiving voicemails or calls. No one called me. It was a lie to cover her lies and mistakes. I went into that place right after that call and was refunded $100 when it was supposed to be $200. I corrected Shannon and even showed her ALL my receipts and she quickly tried to make me feel stupid again. Coming to find out I was correct and she over charged me, she apologized. I went to another place the same day, who accepted my insurance and there were absolutely no issues. Not only that, my sons lens were moveable in his frames, you can see the cutting of the lens and he was unable to see out of them- They were poorly made. I had to push out those lens and add his previous lens back in. These people are incompetent, lazy, have extremely bad customer service, and lacks communication. Every time I went into that place, there was always an angry customer and it was due to their lack of knowledge. Never will I return. It isn’t worth your sanity.

I was a little surprised that my eye appointment was virtual,it was fine. My assistant Natalie was very pleasant and professional. I really like my new frames can't wait to get them. Thank you

I can say that the secretary was very nice and polite, the rest not the same. They have advanced equipment and online doctors that do the reading of tests, which is not helpful as having in person. The staff who works doing the test seems like she doesn't even want to do her job. Everyone except the secretary that day felt like they didn't want to work there.
