Houston Eye Associates is one of the best in Houston. I visited Dr. Porias in December 2022 and had the best experience. His staff and himself were great. The second time, I visited Dr. Richard J for watery and itchy eyes at Richmond location, It was very disappointing because I waited for almost one hr, and Dr. Richard saw me for like 5 mins and prescribed me eye drops (The eye drops did not help at all) with saying that I had to see a doctor for sleep apnea which was never a case of watery and itchy eyes. They were in so much rush, and the staff was in hurry as well. It was like seeing a pharmacist for guidance. Seeing all the good reviews about Dr. Richard, I feel like probably they were in rush that day. I then visited Lenscrafters and some other eye care providers, but none of them were helpful so I decided to visit Dr. Porias again, unfortunately he was booked for the entire week, and I needed an appointment for that day due to my red and itchy eyes. I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Samih at Chimney Rock location. The lady/nurse who did all the examinations and questionnaires, she was an amazing person, she actually knew what she was doing, she gave her 100% effort. Dr Samih was great as well. They actually made me feel comfortable and explained everything. They were in no rush. I absolutely recommend Houston Eye Associates. They provide the best care 👍

Visits to Dr Sol Hamburg are always a pleasure. Not only he an outstanding Eye Surgeon/Opthalmologist, but he is one of the nicest doctors we consult! His staff is efficient & pleasant, and his “new“ office is comfortable, well planned and always clean & tidy.

I’ve been going here for over 20 years. The front office staff is courteous and efficient. I’ve been to other doctors for an eye disease that I have had for over 30 years, but since meeting Dr Hamburg he’s the only doctor I will let touch my eyes. He’s warm, yet professional and gives an upfront explanation about what’s happening in my eyes. The only negative thing I can say is that occasionally the appointment schedule runs behind, but that just shows that he truly takes time with each patient.
