This is absolutely the worst hospital/ dr. office in D.C. They are unprofessional, do not answer the phone, and get into fights with patients. When I went for my appointment, not only was I waiting for over two hours after my appointment time to be seen, but the woman at the front desk tried to physically fight a patient. Screaming obscenities and coming from behind the desk. After that terrible display of professionalism and self control- They didn't even send my prescription to the pharmacy! I had to call and remind them! Ive called 3 times a week for a month and they still haven't filled it. This institution is abysmal, and should be under review. The student that saw me was not only abrupt, but inept. The actual Dr. has been the only reason I didn't write this review sooner. She was brilliant, and truly I have no idea why she even stays at such a run down, inefficient, deplorable institution. Avoid this " Hospital" at all costs.

I have had a great experience with Dr. Bilal Khan. I was in need of a retinal specialist a few years back when I first met Dr. Khan. I found him to be very knowledgeable, kind, caring, and compassionate. Back at that time, he was heaven sent to me! I always say that "He Is One Of The Best In The City." I continue to see him today. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I was very disappointed about the 2 hours I had to wait (after my scheduled appointment time) before I was seen by a doctor, but the saving grace was Dr. Asima Bajwa. Dr. Bajwa apologized for the long wait, which I greatly appreciated, and proceeded to give me a thorough eye exam and answered my numerous questions with patience, expertise, and humor. Dr. Bajwa was wonderful and I wish her continued success in the future! Suggestion for HUH Ophthalmology: Please notify patients (when they arrive) if they are going to have to wait 2-3 hours or longer to see a doctor so the patient can decide to stay and wait or reschedule for another day. Thank You.

I had an 11 am appointment and it's after 1 pm and still haven't been seen. Staff is unprofessional when I asked why, no one gave me an answer. I'm a Howard grad and the service here sucks. If I could give minus stars, I would.

While the team is good, the perception of time is lacking. Time is one of the most important things in the world and once gone, one cannot get this back. One of the doctors complained about one of their patients complaining about their visit time taking a while, which shows lack of professionalism. I hope this gets resolved otherwise patients, which are customers, are in their right to take their business elsewhere.

It is my pleasure to express my observation on the customer service and the treatment I obtained at your Ophthalmology Department since Aug-15-2017- Oct – 4-2017. During those days, the treatment obtained from your department—particularly the eye surgery, was successful and ended without complications. I would give this place a zero star if there was an option for it. The wait time with an appointment is 3 to 5 hours to be seen by the doctor. It's the worst hospital I have ever been to. Save yourself the time and energy, find a different eye doctor.

I've been a patient at Howard for more than five years because I have an issue that requires a specialist, but I still cannot get a call back or access to the patient portal to book appointments despite calling, leaving messages, emailing, and talking to staff repeatedly. When you do finally manage to book an appointment, they overbook and it usually takes 2 hours to be seen and then they don't update your insurance information so you are incorrectly billed.

The wait is ridiculous and very unnecessary. Office is never appealing and half of the staff are personable and professional. Dr. Jones is nice. But there is better out here

I honestly can’t believe after 4 hours my mom is still waiting for final evaluation by the doctor!! This clinic is not run efficiently and during this time with Covid , they should try to get patients in and out much sooner.. no such luck . Very disappointed in the way this facility operates and we will not be returning .

Dr Jones was extremely patient and attentive. She took the time to carefully review my results and explain all my care options. I highly recommend her

There’s a guy named Nathaniel who is the greatest human being there. I’ll never sleep in contacts again he saved my eye

I visited Howard’s Opthalmology office because of a chemical exposure to my eye. I was a walk-in patient, and spent about 3 hours of my time there. I thought that the Physician, Dr. Richard, was competent and very knowledgeable. Overall, I am happy with my visit and would recommend.

Amazing team, very professional, skilled and dedicated!

We here waiting for 2 hours and still haven't been seen. Horrible experience. Bad customer service not allowing to tell you anything if they running late.
